I got two shipping notices from my parts guy in the last couple days. I think the first set of cores will be here tomorrow and the 2nd set on monday, hopefully!

what are you guys doing with the weights on the calipers? do you need to install new ones or do you dont put anything on?

several options there. I can put them back on or leave them off.

My recommendation is leave them off and see if you feel anything. Whatever GM put them on for, might have been a very small nuisance issue and barely noticeable, or it might be terrible, and might even vary by car. If you don't like it without, either put them back on or switch to the new pads that have the weights incorporated into them. You can either reuse the old weights with 3m double sided adhesive, or go to a tire store and get 4 grams of stick ons per caliper from them.

Exchange calipers will NOT come with weights. You will have to get new ones or transfer yours over if you want them.

I plan on driving to your place one of these days (from B'ham) and pulling them off in your lot if possible... so, I can pick from a color swath if you have one.

btw, what do you think about removing the pins/bolts/lines before coating... I noticed you left them in for the others.

... and do you already have the Brembo lettering?

Mike, I want to be put on the list for exchange. How long do you think my wait is or would it be quicker to pull mine down and send them to you? I would rather not have my car down for too long. What is the turn around if I sent them out in the next several days? I want RED with Silver lettering. Please inform. Thanks,

I work out of my house, but you can use my garage if you want. There isn't any purple to that, but I do have a darker color also, its the anniversary red of the C4/C5 corvettes. As for the bolts and lines, they can be removed and left uncoated, but the bare aluminum gets dirty and stains quite easily.

I can turn yours around in 2 days. With 2 sets of exchange calipers (one not even here yet), it will take several weeks to get to you if you decide to do the exchange. I figure at least 2 weeks per person on the list, with shipping both ways.

They are going to be reinstalled this weekend. I will post pics on Sunday with the calipers, new rotors and ss brake lines!
