I think that the same yellow that I use for Velocity yellow from the corvettes is pretty close, but I haven't been able to check it right next to a car. Anyone want me to send them samples to decide for themselves?

Jetsco,
Those calipers look awesome in IOM. I may have to budget for this mod in the future.

2010 2-Tone,

Thanks.

As far as bleeding is concerned:
  • Bleed the inboard bleeder first and then the outboard bleeder on each caliper
  • Start by bleeding the rear passenger side first
  • Followed by the drivers rear
  • Front passenger
  • Front drivers side
I used the same washer on the brake line hose with no problem. Make sure you keep the master cylinder from running out of brake fluid. If the level goes to low you will need to bleed all of the calipers again. :(

Here are some pics of the calipers after I installed them:

It is a match for RJT. Pretty much exact, but a little more metallic.

Your going to love it, it is a great match.

I just need some good weather to get mine on. I am about ready to just take it to a shop and have someone put them on.

They look sweet. I bet they'll look great on yours too. I'm also ordering some slotted and dimpled rotors, SS braided brake lines and Hawk ceramic pads. I'm going to have it all installed at once.

It shouldn't now I would be extreamly careful using gasket cleaner around them though that would take the powder coat right off.

It has moved two spots, one for each of the sets that I have. Rich1 is sending his back to day, the 2nd set is finishing today and going out either today or tomorrow, as soon as I get the payment and shipping info from occbuff.

Hi 2010 2-Tone,
To answer your question:
Yes you will get some brake fluid on the calipers. The powdercoat finish is very durable. In fact, much more durable than the paint on your car. Just wipe off the excess brake fluid. I sprayed brake cleaner on the caliper and just wiped it down. If you put a rubber hose that fits tightly on the end of the bleeder valve you can catch most of the fluid in a large 7-Eleven fountain drink plastic cup. We actually filled up the cup about 3/4 full and put a long rubber hose from the bleeder valve to the cup and bled them that way. As long as the hose remains in the brake fluid you don't have to worry about sucking air into your caliper.

I cannot believe how beautiful the powdercoat finish looks. The pics I took were from my camera phone so they don't really capture the quality of Mike's work.
What color are you getting?
I hope this info helps.

I might like some if possible since I am moving up the list.

Thanks

Just curious. I know you told me there would be a wait since I can't have any downtime in my car and that's cool but could you give me an approx. idea of when it may be?

Thanks!!

It all depends on how fast people turn them around.

This is the current list, I should have lava's shipped either friday or monday.

lava 2/14
caution 2/21
fishdaddy 2/22
jbleachhead 2/24
inferno2ssrs 2/26
coop 2/26
ltdodge 3/5
Stang_Killer 3/13
blessedchef10 3/15

If we average 2 weeks per 2 sets, it looks like 2 months. Hopefully everyone will be as fast as Rich1, and we can cut that in half. If the list gets much longer, I will also add a 3rd set.

Thanks for the update. I'm buying new rotors, pads, brake lines, wheels & tires and wanted to have it all put on at once. Just needed a general idea.

Guys, I just wanted to say that I got my calipers in the mail yesterday and I must say that Mike's work is "CRAZY AWESOME" The quality of the work is great but I must say the way Mike ships the calipers back just blew me away. He takes extra care and spends extra money to ensure that nothing happens to them. I will post pics at a later date. Thanks Mike,
