The body shop did a terrible job on the install. The hood fit good but needed a lot of alignment. I shimmed one side and had to adjust the hood latch then adjust the front

U did a nice job aligning it!

When you say "shim", did you shim between the hood and hinge?

BTW I hope the paint was at least 30 days old?

Eric,
Yes I had to shim alittle between the hood and hinge jut to level it out. I did wait to polish until the paint was fully cured

On the underside of the hinge there is a rubber snubber with a 7 mm headed bolt under it. You can adjust your height this way more precisely. Usually I need to raise both corners about 1/16

I have had one other person tell me that. Every hood I have installed seemed to need the exact same thing, so never had to shim like that. Installed a Force 5 on Saturday. But every car is a hair different I suppose.

I've been saving all winter for a MPD-1 cowl hood .
Besides my auto body guy says he's very busy with wrecks.
Before I order just want to make sure the hinge ,latch
& washer fluid squirter thingy will bolt right up . No issues .
