whats wrong with a 22k base price? my 99 camaro in 99 was 21,000 and it was a v6 with auto and that was pretty much it. so if it only went up 1,000 dollars in almost 10 years, thats not a bad deal at all. and its going to have a hell of alot better motor.

Funny, I'd never heard of this publication before. But it came across my desk today at work with all the other newspapers I was locating for the inmates.

I saw the Camaro blurb/pic on the front page, but didn't get a chance to open the paper and read what it said.

Or an inmate in a state prison apparently. LOL (JK, I assume he must have been in the military at some point before his incarceration.)

I am hoping for under $21 for the LS, and $24,000 for the LT/RS with HUD, Boston Acoustics, steering wheel controls... and under $27 for the SS,
with the SS/RS at $29,999 or less (with HUD. BA).
I AM hoping. the other hand is empty.

I too hope the V6 starts that low. I want the V8 and if the V6 starts at 22k, it's all the more likely the SS will be around 30k which is where I want it to be.

I hate hate hate to say this, but that low price just seems too good to be true.

This pricing looks like it is based on the Mustang Premium package. That means that a base SS will come in at $29k.

I doubt a base LS with steelies will be less than $22,000. But 22k sounds fair.

Challenger does it at that price but they strip out the brake control unit. Which leaves out ABS, ASR and ESC. All vital safety features for a modern vehicle.

The BASE LS has to start as low as the mustang, otherwise I wont buy one... Oh, I was not going to buy an LS, anyway
I would hope that GM will set the prices closer to Employee Pricing, and get away from having to 'offer' huge rebates and incentives, just price it right in the first place...
