I have the CAI Inc. intake and I don't think that it is CARB certified. You should be okay though, I used to have an intake on my 01 Tacoma that didn't have a CARB sticker and I never got dinged when smog time came along

Just save your stock setup and if there is a prob (which there shouldn't be) swap it out. Put it in a safe place as you won't need it for 5 years. New cars get a 5 year pass on smog IIRC.

Don't forget about when you get pulled over and they pop your hood and see no carb sticker!

Out of 100 police officers, maybe 3 would actually do this. Even if they did, do they really know what the BRAND new STOCK air box looks like.. Cmon dude.. Don't worry about this.

Been driving for over 30 years (legally ) never had one check for whether a component had an EO#. They know the basics. Like if your Monsters' Termignioni system doesn't have baffles in it (didn't write me tho) or you have any other color than white for the headlights etc....

This is a really really long shot. You would have more of a chance of getting written on a muffler change....
