window tint (i know i had a thread already but this is different)

the tinter just showed up at my house and he's doing my car right now. i'm gonna speak to him about pricing for those that were interested in getting their cars done too. i just wanted to verify the names of the people so i don't give him a wrong number on those interested in getting it done. i'll take pictures so you can see the work and post them when he's done. that way you can decide if you want him to tint yours too. i'll then pm you guys his number and you can give him a call if you want to.

he came to me and told me he's mobile so that might be something for you guys to ask about when you talk to him if you decide to go that route since we're all over SoCal...lol.

here's the list from the other thread of those that were interested. if you aren't interested anymore, just post here and let me know.

Rtoups
Batmaro - Camaro and your daughter's Xterra...Xterra UVA protection only (i'll ask if he does that and let you know)
elpatofeo - weekends cause you're up north a bit, that way you can cruise down and visit family when he does it.
N4CR22 - if the tint will shatter the window and not stick together if it's broken
linkwpc - you're a yes for sure so i'll get his info to you
Maro_SS - you're about 90%?

he just finished. $180 for 3m ceramic all 5 windows. he can do it for a bit cheaper, around $140 if you don't use 3m. i'll post some pics of the outside. for now and tomorrow i'll get pics of the edges so you can see it (there are no gaps, it looks factory) and from the inside tomorrow. i've got to let it dry for a couple hours since i'm in my driveway and not in the sun. then 24 hours before rolling the windows down.

Batmaro - he can do like a clear film with the UVA/UVB protection if you want for your daughter's Xterra.
N4CR22 - the tint won't shatter it's like any other tint. it'll stick together (the guy i work with sometimes likes to tell stories so he probably made the shattering thing up).

*pictures turned out terrible...lol. i'll have better ones tomorrow*

*i went with 35%, but he can do whatever darkness you want*

Forgot to mention that he'll fix them if there is an issue at no cost.

I thought $180 for ceramic, 3m, and he will come to your place and do it so you don't have to go anywhere was a pretty good deal. Took him about an hour and a half. If you find something better, by all means, go for it. This post was for those that were interested from my previous post.

$180 for top quality tint AND you didn't have to get off your couch. Sweet deal!

i agree...besides a $30 difference isn't all that much. he makes it sound like $180 is a ripoff. i've heard quotes upwards of $200 for 3m ceramic on this car.

I'm not sure...I could get you his info and you could ask him.

Also, I'll have more pics up today, I didn't go anywhere yesterday so I didn't bring my car out of the garage.

here are a couple shots of the inside of the windows so you can see the quality of the job he did...no gaps, looks factory. took me forever to take these shots because the camera wanted to focus through the window on the ground...
