Talking The wait begins...

I just ordered my Camaro at Connell Chevy

IOM SS/RS
IO interior
M6

The guy was trying to convince me to get an automatic because he said that a guy just traded in his manual for an auto because he was tired of it in traffic. I test drove a VR SS/RS with an auto (I am still learning stick) and it was awesome, but the tapshift sucked. It wouldn't let me downshift when I wanted to. I still am going with the manual, I wanna control the car not have the car control me

Does anyone with an M6 wish they got an A6?

Thanks! My dad had a 2003 Carrera 4S with the button shifters, so I was expecting the shifting to be similar, but on the Camaro I did not feel like I had much control as I thought I would. I wanted to test drive an M6 but I didn't want to stall it and embarrass myself lol.

This car has a TON of torque! Don't worry about stalling it. It is actually very hard to do, unless you have the radio WAY too loud and are not paying attention to the tach as you leave the stop light going up hill.

Yeah, I just did not want to stall it in front of all the people at the dealership. haha And I have only driven a stick around in my neighborhood, so I need to start practicing now

first off, congrats!!!!!

secondly, that is the reason i got an auto is cause i don't want the hassle of stick in traffic where i drive. also, i seem to have no trouble down shifting when i want to when in manual mode...

Congrats.

Enjoy every day of the wait. When the big day comes, you'll know you made the right choice with the M6. IMO, no other way to go.
