Window tint %

Legally in PA I can only go 70% which is like not having tint at all. Looking for recommendations on how dark I should go. I was leaning towards 35%. Will that look nice amd still be relatively dark?

Stay legal for your state. Less problems. Dude at work has too dark tint. Got pulled, had a few drinks, DUI resulted... probable cause. Window tint, plate tint, stuff to used against you could result in worse penalties.

Exactly. Why invite it?

Check your state rules for an exemption, there are several in most states, medical being the most commonly used, but also law enforcement, surveilence, or private investigation, etc.
Also in most states if you use a 50% or 35% film its legal, your state is one of the few ridiculous ones.
The law could easily be changed, need to ask SEMA foe help.

Dang 70% is factory, that sucks.

35 will be, let's say, "smoked." Not black, but dark enough to look good.

Crack your windows if you think cops will be around. Roll them down at night in town.

I've never had problems with tint and the law, but then again Florida cops probably have their private vehicles tinted past the limit. Supernova in the sky during Summer and whatnot.

I had 35 %, but eventually went down to 5%. You just have to ask yourself what you want it for. If it's just for looks, the 35 is dark enough at certain angles. The car next to you will be able to see more than a silhouette though. If you want any kind of help with the heat, it's pretty much useless.

35% is what I have on my windshield and it looks good! Next time I'll probably go 15% like the rest of my windows. If you get tint, get the metallic ver. It also protects against UV! But blocks radio signals, your call..

Thankfully here in Florida, they don't seem to care about dark tint! Since everyone here has limo tint .

thanks for the input. I ordered 35% and going to try and put it on myself. If I don't like it, I didn't waste a bunch of money having a professional do it. I really like the look of the really dark stuff but no way will that fly here. I've seen plenty of cars with the dark stuff but it usually isn't on a bright orange Camaro that all ready has a pull me over sign on it hahah.

No tint, its a vert, you don't ride around with top down and windows up. Save your money for another mod
