Change Shifter Handle

Hey, I have the factory Hurst short throw shifter in my car from factory.
I am looking to install the Hurst handle with a ball knob.
Will the Hurst handle bolt up to mine since I already have their shifter installed?
This is what I am looking at:

Don't think so, found this thread

If that's what it looks like underneath, the aftermarket handle won't fit. I'd say change the whole shifter, definitely worth it.

I understand what your saying, I went and looked at that thread.
But if I bought the entire kit, I would be replacing the main shifter with what already is installed. ( Hurst short throw shifter with same Hurst throw shifter)
Just want the chrome arm and knob
If the last resort is to replace everything, I guess I will but I hoped for other options.
Thanks for the help

I re-read the article and a couple of other links and now understand I will have to get the entire kit to get the look I want. Should be a better way......
Thanks.

Sorry for the super late response, but the hurst factory shifter is much different from the hurst aftermarket shifter. The aftermarket one is significantly shorter than the factory installed one
