First of all let me say that I simply love, love, LOVE my Camaro!!! There are only three issues that I believe need to be addressed:

1. Four Way Power passenger seat.

2. Better interior lighting.

3. Move the gas cap to the driver side please.

edit: On the underside of the front bumper, consider making the underside a seperate piece that bolts onto the bumper seperately (somehow). I work in a historical neighborhood (dating from the early 1800's) and my decision to exit out of a different driveway this week resulted in my front end bottoming out onto the cobblestone street as I turned into the road and an approxamate 2 inch circle / gash of paint was scraped off of the portion just under the left front bumper. Yes, it is noticable and I am going to get it fixed and unfortunately it will probably happen again.:(

I had been telling my hubby since 1983, when we got married and I learned how to drive a 3sp stick shift on his 67SS, that Chevy needed to bring back the original Fisher body. Well you did good, and I absolutely love it. He had a blue 67SS and in 2000 I bought a Marroon 67SS. We are a Chevy family and a Camaro family for 27 years.

Thank you for making such a wonderful car.

A tighter steering ratio, and AFM deactivation in sport mode! That is all!

Overall I love the car - detail tweaks as follows :

- Add tactile feedback and/or LEDs to garage door opener switches
- Add a light in the glove box to let us see where we are plugging in USB keys
- Improve MP3 player functionality/reliability - add support for larger devices
- Remove Onstar ..... add more standard GPS as option
- If we cant remove Onstar - find somewhere else to put the function buttons and shrink the rear view mirror

Mechanical observations :
- Improve gear shift action - the shift into 2nd was notchy for about first 2000 miles
- Give option of a handling package
- Deliver on GM options - e.g. Hurst.....

3. Four pack cluster gauges as an option on all models or even just the SS's and up please
4. ABL running across the entire dash
5. An option to have navigation please (not a big deal just would be nice)

IMHO, Everyone needs to keep in mind that your suggestions should appeal all potential consumers, not just ones that solve your pet pieve. Things like a factory Hurst shifter are a good idea. however things like lighted homelink controls might not be such a big deal.

I agree to a point with your statement. The problem is the small things like the lighted homelink cant be done aftermarket. Things like shifters, exhaust, other cosmetic items can easily be swapped out without warranty issues. The small things will bug you and there is nothing you can do about it.

Not sure if this was mentioned already mentioned, but as a safety feature include Blind spot detection on the car. Especially since its hard to see out the back of the vehicle. This will help protect my baby in the streets of Chicago.

I have owned every generation Camaro and I will say this is the best one by far. The '67 Convert. ran a close 2nd for me. A few things to keep in mind going forward:

1. Better interior lighting - this seems to be an across the board issue
2. Better visors - make them bigger and put in vanity lights
3. Folding mirrors - This is an absolute must and possibly add locater lighting
4. Z-28
5. IROC anyone? - Pure nostalgia
6. Retro emblems as an option? Think 1st Gen Crossd Flags
7. Power passenger seating
8. Spare tire included on all models - peace of mind = carefree cruising; don't want to spend an extra $150 for a safety feature that should be in the car to begin with.
9. Owner Loyalty Trade-In; Everyone who bought the Camaro has basically put Chevy back in th hunt. Going forward if first year buyers want to upgrade to a newer model - like the future convertible or Z-28 - give them an extra incentive, not just book value to do it and stay with the car they love but in a newer model. Are you listening GM??
10. Allow buyers to purchase a package at factory prices later. Like an RS package. If ordered it was approx. $1450. Try doing that after the fact and you're looking at maybe triple the price. Help us out GM.

Love the car. We were ther for you GM. Please be ther for us. Listen to the choir.

first off I LOVE my camaro. the only thing I really have to complain about is
1. the sun visors are useless. They need to be normal size.
2. 6 way power passenger seat
3. Navigation option
other optios that would be nice
heated/cooled seats (i live in the south, the seats get hot more than they get cold)
dual control climate control

6) memory seats
7) optional hurst shifter from factory.

once again, this is probably a rehash of a lot of other comments....
a) an optional performance handling/suspension upgrade for the weekend warriors.... aka track pack
b) a nav screen would be nice w/ rearview camera as a possible option.
c) HUD
d) ambient lighting that runs the entire dash.
e) shave pounds wherever possible.

personally, i'm still holding out for a Z28 to come out within the next year or two. I can wait patiently as long as I know that it's coming..... PLEASE tell me it's coming!?!?

I have been waiting many years to get behind the wheel of a car that brings back the same level of excitement of getting behind the wheel of my 69' Camaro in high school.
GM did that and more !
Having said that,the things that i think will keep this car "on top" is ;
1.) A more agressive exhaust system
2.) Better interior lighting
3.) More reasonable wheel options
4.) Painted stripe options

Thanks for letting us have a voice in the continious improvement of this great car.

My suggestion is related to SERVICE:

Some people on this forum have said that if you go in for service the dealer will check for the latest PCM calibration for you car and make sure that your software is up to the latest version. Maybe some dealers would, but I dont think this is standard procedure, and I think it should be.

Some people will do their own oil changes and maintenance (like myself), so it would be nice if GM would send an e-mail or post card to owners when there is a new version of the PCM software out, saying to bring the car in at the earliest convenience for an upgrade.

As the lifecycle of a new car matures, the manufacturer will obviosly make improvements with the PCM calibration, and these improvements cost nothing to be implemented for every owner to have the best performance they can get.

I love this car! Leave the fuel door alone please. Change the dash cluster (Speedo tach and radio) to orange instead of blue for the Inferno Orange interior package.

HUD! There needs to be a heads up display. There's even been concept pictures that came from GM themselves that showed a HUD. This needs to be done, but that's all I have to say about that.

Recommended changes

My 2 cents worth here in central Iowa:

1. More/Better interior lighting
2. At night, have the front amber "turn signal" lights always illuminated when the head lights are on.
3. Move the gas fill to the driver's side.
4. Ambient lighting across the entire dash. (I really want this.)
5. Offer the rally stripes in GLOSS black. (Not just flat black.)
6. When/If you bring back the Z/28, also bring back the "IROC" package.

Thanks for listening to us!

First as far as i understand, this meeting is in august so it will definitely be after the 2011 model year. Anyway these are my suggestions:
1) More interior colors, the only nice interior color right now is inferno orange, where is the red leather like in the MUSTANG?
2) HUD
3) ABL
4) Height adjusted passenger seat.
5) Real paddle shifters (on the steering column)
6) do something to the plain dash, especially on the passenger side

Thank you

The car is amazing but making it a little better will not hurt...
1) HUD
2) better interior lighting
3) be able to record CD's into the memory like my wifes 2010 EQ...
4) Funtional Hood scoop.
5) Hide away head lights
6) ABL in front of dash as well
7) Nav
8) discount for current 2010 owners.
9) Optional painted on ralley strips
10) SS badging in the front and rear instead of the bowie's " only for SS models"

Once again thanks for letting us the camaro family express our thoughts

God Bless and thanks for everything you do..

What a huge responsibility, as well as such a great honor to be involved with this initiative.

It's just so gratifying to see that GM and the Camaro Team is so tuned into hearing what Camaro enthusiasts have to say about these cars and the direction that can be taken to make these exceptional vehicles even better than they already are!!

Things are definitely heating up in this market segment and Chevrolet will not tolerate the idea of being anything other than #1!

Please try to keep all suggestions in a positive vein. This is the best way to ensure that your thoughts will be considered and taken seriously!

Best regardSS,

Thanks YOU!!! that is very encouraging. If chevy makes a Z28, the idea that some camaro fans have that it must be an inferior product compared to the gt-500 is unaceptable IMVHO.

Heres is my short term goals suggestions for the 2011 Model year:

1. Camaro V6 with FE3 suspension option. (The V6 is where the real battle is at.)

2. The Camaro needs a stronger V6 trim level that still gets great fuel economy.

3. a Track pack option (call it the 1Le suspension package)

4. optional 3.73 or 3.92 gears (though standard on track pak option)

5. HUD option on V6 and standard on V8

6. ABL on doors and dash.

7. two tone red interior option.

Just for the sake of it, chevy can make a special edition of the camaro with the LS7 (though it will not be called the Z28)

Just my .02 cents

Mostly a repeat, I'm sure but numbers win.

Overall I'm in love with the car and hate that I had to put it up for winter so soon. Only 1800 miles on her.

My glitches are the norm on my list:
-lights in the garage door buttons
-ability to raise passenger seat, power or not
-ambient lighting across dash
-gas cap hook is not even usable
-I'm a paint and body guy with realistic expectaions but this does seem to chip easier. :(

The last one is a little more spendy but could we get a little tougher rear axles? I will mod this car eventually after warranty is up. It sounds like the design must be borderline on living even at stock horsepower levels if you listen to these boards. GM knows these cars are going to be modified. I don't expect the axles from GM to survive a S/C or turbo but I also don't think a guy should sweat a tune, cold-air intake, and exhaust. If I step up to slicks I expect to pay or break things but mild adders with street tires should be no sweat.

Thanks! What a cool deal to have the big company actually listen!

Love the car as is for how we use it, but will give some feed back since you asked

1) weight, if possible put it on a diet, with less weight some of the handling will improve and also improve mpg (pending on the driver).

2) performance option like stated before such as z28 option, or high output V8 NA, etc.

Only thing that I haven't seen yet is the suggestion of a useable tilt steering column. Like the c5/c6 has, also like a vette, add the power telescoping feature as well. This column reminds me of a Jap car useless tilt. I like pulling the lever back in my vette and avalanche and have it tilt up before I get out. This is how it has been since GM started doing columns back in the 60's.

Thanks for the awesome car, Thanks for taking input.

1. Driver seat retract when door opens to ease getting out, move back when closed.
2. Power passenger seats.
3. centered steering wheel, minor gripe, but it seems like it faces towards the driver door versus centered and directly at the driver. not symmetrical
4. steering wheel extends fully, maybe sits a little lower.
5. controllable fog lamps
6. better interior lighting
7. shed some weight / track pack
8. HUD
9. backup camera in mirror
