Boston Acoustics Stereo Settings
Hi everyone,
New to the forums here and the proud owner of a brand new 2010 camaro 2ss as of today. I've been getting used to the stereo setup and I have to say that the BA sound system is quite impressive. The one question I had though was in regards to what opinions are out there as far as what the best equalizer settings are (i.e. treble, midrange and bass) for the system. If this was already brought up elsewhere in the forums I apologize, but I wasn't able to find it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

jay92323 : First of all, Congrats on becoming a new owner and member of Camaro5. I think that the settings are an individual thing - what I can hear and what others hear is not the same. I will follow this thread to learn along with you. Again, Congrats and welcome!!

I read that they tuned the speakers pretty well from the factory. Does yours not sound right? What genre of music do you listen to?

These are my setups. For rock/metal: treble 11, mid 8, bass 5 or 6.
for anything bass heavy (hip hop, R&b) i have to crank the bass down to like -3, mids to 0 and treble to about 4. I'm still tinkering on that one but I'm really happy with my metal setup. |

Welcome to the site & your new great ride!
![]() As stated above, just play around with the settings. Your ear & tastes will vary from ours. I love my SubThump in the trunk and usually keep the radio bass on 0 Treble up around 6-7; mid around 3. I listen to all kinds of different music - most everything but rap & country...and I really like the sound of the system. Also l like turning it off, opening the sunroof & windows and listening to The Beast roar! ![]() Enjoy the great site & car!

i have found that the settings are different for me depending on which i am listening to. the system seens to be stronger when you use the cd vs the radio and even different when using my ipod. just play with it until you are satified. OH , YEAH, CONGRATS ON THE SUPER NEW CAR AND WELCOME TO CAMARO5 FAMILY. hope the massive snow storm up your way dosen't stop the joy.

Thanks everyone for the responses...I'm super pumped about the car...it's unbelivable. I think the BA audio system pumps pretty hard personally. I'll tinker around with it a bit more. Again thanks for the input fellow awesome car owners. This is a very well put together forum...look forward to more posts on this site in the future.
