What did I did?

I dechromed (removed the Camaro block letters from the front fender) and then re-waxed that part of the car.

I also started installing the new pedals from SRP. After that, it's the ABL lighting kit.

I guess it's time to start looking under the hood for places to "beautify."

Oh, yeah. The blackout tail panel has yet to be installed.

At least I can take it outta the garage now that the dechroming is done.

Ohhh...I added an image of the car with the planned American Racing Torq-Thrust M wheels with a black spoke design. Whaddya think?

I like the Junkman! I ordered a bottle of the concentrated detail spray he recommended. Great pictures, your Baby looks awesome. I have to agree with you that there's nothing Sexier than your Babe getting a Brazilian wax job!

Very nice job! This mod is on my "wish list" of mods. Fluid running the clutch stays so much cleaner. Although I know you really gotta be careful, that brake fluid stuff is seriously dangerous. Don't want any spillage anywhere cause it pretty much ruins anything it spills on.

Thank you for the feedback. They look good on your car...and for an old fart's car, (mine) I think they'll be fine.

Now I just need to find some metal valve stems with TPMS sensors (or that I can use with the existing sensors) so I can run it on the salt flats (and then spend 2 weeks cleaning the underside of it.) Dorman makes some, but I don't know how good they are. We'll see.

Well, I have a terminal case of "salt fever." And since I've been tryin to get into the 130 Club for the last 3 years...well, I'm gonna do it this year or else! Then I'll go back to the Monte Carlo and shoot for the 150 Club.

I had a little problem a coupla years ago when the pinion yoke broke as I shifted into 4th at what the GPS called 137 mph and the driveshafr wreaked havoc underneath the car. Destroyed everything between the rear end and the engine block:
http://www.chevyasylum.com/85monte/85monte29.html
and
http://www.chevyasylum.com/85monte/85monte30.html

Then it just wouldn't pull over 3000 rpm last year. So that project's on hold until next year.

Got my strut tower brace back from powder coating earlier looks so much better than that aluminum look. Also painted the bolts red to add some contrast. I'll be adding some airbrushing to it later next week probably but I'm happy so far.

Learned that the dealer blew my motor up and that them or GM isn't going to replace the damaged pistons, only the bent valves.
