Can PDR fix this??

Well another random dent on the camaro. Got home from work and the wind had blown the car cover off. I checked over the car and found this. It is along the edge of the roof. Took the paint off which will need redone but just wondering if a paintless dent guy can get a tool up to the roof line to take out the dent? I'm gonna have the body shop look at it also but if they just have to paint and not dent repair it will be cheaper....

it pains me to see these things. PDR can probably remove the dent but you'll still need it painted :(

I fix dents for a living (PDR). On most if not all cars with drip rails, the edge of the roof is isolated from the rest of the roof structure and skin, which means the dent cannot be accessed with partial lowering of the headliner. So the only way to access the edge outside of the drip rail is to drill the upper door jamb or use a glue pulling device. The drilling would be a partial improvement at best IF there is not multiple layers of metal inside the roof frame and the glue puller is not usually an option on damaged paint since it will usually just pull more paint off the surface. Your best bet is to pay your comprehensive deductible and get it repaired properly, usually "comp" claims don't raise your premiums and your paying for it so you may as well put it use...

EDIT: I just realized the dent is above the 1/4 glass so subtract any type of drilling from the equation for your specific situation.
