Found this interesting link on facebook. I guess my car was official. These were shot by the SEMA officials. The filter they used gives my car a purplish tint.

Your car does have a purplish tint. I saw it in the sun when we cleaned it. Overall, it's a really cool color.

CONGRATS'!!! Way to sell C5FII

Are you getting any rubbing or anything with those 315s? I LOVE the profile and those wheels are KILLER!!!

No rubbing at all, even after we took a wrong turn and went down a super bumpy non-paved road down by bakersfield (58, but didn't turn at the golden bull diner place, and just kept going west. Turned north and hit 58 after about a mile of the honeycomb looking road. The wheels withstood that and have been nothing but great. The tires being 315/25 aren't as low profile as everyone thinks, and the ride quality is great with my Pedders coilovers. The car rides pretty close to stock.

Cool. Thanks for the comments. I was hoping 315s would be the minimum I'd like to go on the rear, so this helps confirm they'll fit fine. I am STILL amazed when I rode in your car that day. That impression has left me convinced on what I'm going to want to try to do

Anytime man. You'll get to see the "after" effects at the Fest (hopefully). If not, I'll give you a call next time I'm up near Sac at my mom's place.

Yeah - despite how close it is this year, because of the wifey's "condition", I really doubt I can make it... Otherwise, that sounds great. If you have some more pics' you could share, specifically of the tires, and profile, especially on the rear, I'd certainly appreciate those. Do you think the camber settings from the Xas could've given you a bit more clearance than stock? It just seems like there's still a relatively good amount of room left, at the quarter panel lip; I don't know what the clearance is on the inside, but the outside looks great!

Thanks

I'll get some pictures from underneath the car sometime this weekend if I can. The wheel is just about perfectly flush (within 1-2mm) with the rear quarter panel. Pete would be the guy to ask about the clearance. I'll see if I can contact him.

Paging Mr. Basica!

Any particular angels of the tires/wheels you want?

SWEET! I'd sure appreciate it

Maybe a couple shots from the front and rear just showing the relationship of the tire to the quarter and maybe one from above the quarter, looking down. You're pretty tall, but just any more currents pics' would be totally welcome That's my color, too, so even if these pics' aren't possible, I'll enjoy anything else

Thanks

Testing out my new GoPro's positioning, I snapped a pic. Gina called me a Jabbawockee. I have no idea why?

So as I was going out to lunch today, I thought it would be a great opportunity with my car being freshly washed/waxed (on saturday...) to take a couple shots before heading out.

These are the first shots I've had with a clean car in bright sun-light. The wheels simply gleam in the sun and the sidemarkers from AAC are a perfect compliment.

Thanks USW and AAC!

Note: These are untouched, and just taken on full auto. I will be taking better shots at some point this weekend.

Very nice photos Jay!!
It's funny they have a pic up on the AAC site of your sidemarkes and you can see me in the reflection... maybe they can use these instead so they don't have my big o butt in the reflection ha haaa.

HAHA, I thought it was funny. But this only shows the front. Next week I'll have some professional shots taken too and see how those turn out. =)

Was looking through SEMA 2010 videos and noticed a familiar engine bay at 0:53.

So here I'm told by Dynomax that they're willing to sponsor me with an exhaust, but I have to wait until Feb 1st until the product is ready. After waiting for 3 months to sign a contract and have the exhaust sent to me on the 1st, so I can install and have the car tuned before the fest, they give me the run around.

I was told before SEMA to call on 1/31 so I could have a contract sent to me to sign and have the parts shipped out on 2/1/11. I call today and ask for the contract to be sent. 3 hours later I get an e-mail from my contact that reads...

"No product...Check back in 3-4 weeks."

FML... Now I'm in a scramble to see if I can find a 3" exhaust without drone that I can have in my possesion by the 17th of February so I can have it installed before getting dynotuned. Sending out a proposal tonight. We'll see what happens.
