Price for painted stripes

Looking to get some stripes painted on the new ride. I want to do the hood and trunk deck. For those who have had their stripes painted on, what did you pay? Thanks!

Just a bit over $1200 here in the metro D.C. area. Shop did a great job sanding everything down and you cannot feel any difference in paint thickness between the stripes and the rest of the car...

Depends on if you are ok with clear edge or not. If you want to ensure you have absolutely no clear edge and get high quality paint and clear...you are probably looking at between $1,500 - $2,000. If you are ok with having some clear edge (not doing the entire hood and trunk lid) then you will probably be able to find between $1,000 - $1,500

I am thinking this will be on the pricey side. I am looking to have a pearlescent blue painted over the top of just the white stripes. Going to get some quotes in the next few weeks and will see what that will run.

the shop that did mine did clear the entire hood and trunk. No transition line at all. Even mixed in a little metallic flake to match the flake in the IOM paint.
Quality can be found for around $1200 just depends on your area. Check out some shops and look at the quality of their work. I had 3 different quotes for mine 1200 1600 and 2500 and the 1200 version is very very good.

Where in TX are you located. My painter did it all and did a VERY good job for 1500. Let me know if near the Houston/Spring area and I'll pass forward his info!

In the Austin area.

Friend of mine had his carbon fiber hood on his M6 painted by Whitakers and they did a good job but painting black and white with pearlescent are 2 different things.

1200 sounds very reasonable for sure.

Mine were done in House Of Kolor Tangerine Pearl over a black basecoat. The whole hood and trunk lid was cleared after than sanded and buffed to match the rest of the clear on the car. The Tangerine paint was $70.00 a quart. Paid $1,200

just make sure u get them to take out all the orange peel from your original paint job cause it will really bring out the true color of the car but yeah 1500 to 2000 is fair price

My painter and I had this exact conversation when my car got to him for my stripes. He felt it was not a good idea to do this just due to the fact the clear on these things is so thin. Save what clear is on it until when it NEEDS to be done. He sanded and buffed my hood and trunk lid to match the other clear on the car to make it look as close to factory as possible. My opinion...save what clear you do have until when you need it later.

My stripes are a little longer than waht you are looking for but $2,000.00 was very good considering the estimates ranges up to $5000.00 or they would not touch it.

It's a big plus to make your ride unique. Looks really nice and nasty. I was going for the Indy 500 Pace Car stripes. The body shop also had my car for a week but it was worth it.
