I've had satellite radio since it first came out. This is with 4 different cars and I have had XM and Sirius. Both will cut out very rarely. Both will give you the sales pitch when you call.

Don't worry about the phone help line chatter. Get the satellite radio and enjoy it. I've only had to call them a couple of times and like any 'help line', its a pain in the ass.

Don't you have an MP3 player? I wouldn't pay to listen to a radio station when I can listen to all of my favorite songs for free.

Also, when/if you cancel XM thats when they really get annoying. They called me twice a day for 2 weeks before I finally stopped picking up. They don't know the meaning of "I'm not interested"

No, that never happened, but you are right! They are so vicious to get your business. One time, they called and my sister answered and they wanted her to authorize me getting XM service!!!

the 3 months is from when the car is sold but you can test drive any camaro and listen to xm. what happens is that if the car sits on the lot for more than 3-6 months(?) the xm can run out before the new owners 3 month trial. just call them back and tell them the date of sale. :-)

Your dealer SHOULD have done this when you bought the car.

You don't need to call them if you lose the signal. Go to the link below and refresh it yourself.

I called XM when I got my car (in late Jan.) and told them I don't want my 3 month trial to start until I actually start driving the car in April (it's in storage for winter right now). They said that would be no problem. I'll have to report back when I call them on April 1 to remind them of this arrangement. I hope they don't get amnesia.
