03/05/2010 Was A Very Bad Day
On 03/05/2010 between 1500 hrs. and 1530 hrs. 2 other vehicles and myself was involved in an accident
A Charger SRT8 was in the right lane and I was in the left lane headed South on Barataria Blvd. (Marrero, LA). As we were approaching the intersection of Barataria Blvd. and Champagne Street, I noticed the Durango on the North side of Barataria Blvd in the U turn. The Durango then pulled in the roadway very slow and came to a complete stop blocking both of the lanes. I then applied my breaks and attempted to avoid the Durango by going to the left but that did not work. My passenger side and the Durango rear bumper made contact. I later struck the curve with my driver side front tire causing an blow out. After the blow out I was air bound. I was able to maintain control of my vehicle and come to an stop. I believe the Charger SRT8 attempted to avoid the Durango also by going to the right but he was really unlucky. He struck an fire hydrant and turned his vehicle over approximately 4 times. Luckily I was able to remove him from the overturned vehicle and he sustain no major injuries that I know of. He had no physical injuries that I know of. The State Trooper found the Durango to be at fault. Well 2 wreck vehicle, 1 total vehicle and 3 healthy humans. THANKS TO GOD!!!!!!!

Phantom_LS3: Everybody "walking away" is awesome. That fellow you pulled from the wreckage could have some serious injuries not visible at the scene. Broken spine, rupture spleen, head injury - you know what I'm talking about. It is amazing how quickly a good day can turn ugly. A sad day for you, I'm sure. Hope they can make your ride like new again. Sorry.

Thanks a lot yall. The Charger did take a beating but Im not sure about the driver. I spoke with him after and hope he doesn't have internal injuries. That is one LUCKY man. Hopefully they can repair my vehicle and have it back like new. If not, I'll be fighting with the durango insurance but I am hoping for the best.
