A mite bit pessimistic there maybe? I'm almost inclined to take offense at your age reference, but you seem to project envy or jealousy so I'll let it slide.

To the OP: outside looks bad ass. I do agree the exhaust tips need to be bigger as you've got a mean machine, make her sound like one, love the doors and the wing. Interior though... just a tad bit overdone.

Edit: Oh, and some of us don't give a crap about the resale value fyi.

I've done up my car to look "nicer" just once, and I'll never do it again. I actually had very tasteful things done like high quality leather seats and performance rims. However when I was selling the car, those mods were absolutely worthless to most people. After that I decided: never again!

Most people are attracted to the brand and the model. They like what the brand/model represents and they like OEM. When you start to do custom work to it, it isn't a Chevy Camaro, or a BMW, or a XXX any more. It's a "Joe Blow" car. Mods are rarely of value to anyone but the owner. And honestly, if you hated a car enough to change it so much, maybe you should have gotten another car? My 2c.

What I learned from the experience is be content with the car: if you don't like the car, don't buy it. And to spend the money on the options, because there's so many people who end up selling the car to buy the higher end version because they love the car and regret not getting the one with the options they *really* wanted. In the end, it's penny wise pound foolish.

For example, the Z/28 is probably going to have the hood scoop and the type of rear spoiler you have on yours, and it will have different rims too. When it comes out, you are going to look like someone who couldn't afford the Z/28 so you are just trying to fool people that you bought one. That's how you will look, regardless of the actual truth.

Now is another appropriate time to remind everyone the definitions of "rice" and "pimped".

Rice: any modification made to give the impression of increased performance without any actual gain in performance. Eg. hood scoops that do nothing, sponsorship stickers for a car that isn't sponsored or raced, fart can mufflers, fake carbon fiber stickers

Pimped: any modification made to draw attention for the sake of it, but not necessarily intended to give the impression of increased performance. Eg. spinning wheels, rainbow paint colours etc.

Therefore, your car is a "ricer", not "pimped" (except for the lambo doors, which is classic pimp).

And he is, his early posts will show that he's taking everyone's view into account. Keep in mind the guy is from GUAM.

This car seems a little overdone to me as well, but at least the mods look expensive (hate those words, even as I'm typing them, but at least it gives the impression of being done professionally, in a shop instead of the Autozone parking lot) and if ya lost the girly wheels, it might look kinda mean. Over the top, but mean. And ditch the doors for sure.

IMO

He asked for peoples opinion, yeah it sucks to spend so much money on a car and have most people ask what went wrong.
A few mods are ok on this car but common, you have to draw the line somewhere even if it's a "show car".

Sure he is free to do what he want's but don't expect everyone to have his taste and be prepared to have your question answered if asked. If you look at the pole and combine the first 3 choises, your looking at something like 26% positive, 32% neutral, and 42% negative. With that said wish the best of luck to the OP.

I don't like Carbon Fibre, I dislike fake Carbon Fibre even more, IMO you either replace parts with C.F or not bother!!
Like the doors and spoiler most

IMHO...

Interior: Too busy. Real CF is nice. Fake CF pattern overlays is not.
Exterior: Overdone. I personally dislike Lambo doors on any non-Lambo cars.

I really like the black inside the gills. They all should have that...if fact, the gills should be functional or they should just drop them altogether IMHO.

As long as you like it, it really doesn't matter what anybody else says or thinks. Even if I don't like some of the components (you probably wouldn't like some of my ideas too, and that's ok), I like the uniqueness and that you had the cajones to do it and ask for opinions, Rock On! If you are at the 'Fest I look forward to seeing it in person, I bet it gets attention.

Heres my suggestions:

-remove about half of the carbon fiber on the inside, there is too much
-powdercoat the grill black
-get some all black wheels, or paint the ones you have all black and maybe add a yellow pinstripe
-lose the lambo doors
-lose the bowties

everything else looks good
