I have a question.....
How come all my text is on the wrong side of the page?
This is giving me a headache.
Did you know if you do a google search for "do a barrel roll" your screen will flip?
Also search for "skew"

There that's better....
.....wait.....

This thread was very informative.
I now have new tools to AGGRAVATE PEOPLE WITH

I understand moving threads to the correct forum. Why does it leave the thread in forum you moved it from and just say "moved". It's a mess on the general discussion thread. Not ya'lls fault, I know, but it kind of sucks trying to find things with all the "moved" threads still in there.

Those are temporary redirects.

so when a thread is moved, if people aren't subscribed to it, they can still find the redirect link and be taken to the thread's new location... Kinda like mail forwarding.

Yep. Otherwise people would make threads saying "where did my thread go?"

So to post a video in a thread you have to first post it to youtube? I can't just attach a QuickPlay, RealPlayer, WindowsVideo, etc. file to my post?

Actually ... there is one way around that. You could put the video into a zipped folder & then post it as an attachment. Doing this limits you to 3.81 MB, which isn't very much for a video clip. But it is an option

Making your Signature Image a Hyperlink

How to do it:

1) Go to your build thread

2) highlight the URL of your build thread

3) hit CTRL + C (or go to Edit --> Paste)

4) Use Camaro_Corvette's DIY on how to make a signature (see below):

Changing your signature!

see if this helps my Illustrated Guide to Signature Uploads
i'll try this as simple as possible, screenshots galore
this is a huge post.

first: Click "User CP"

Second: Click "Edit Signature"

This is where you should be now

Third: Scroll down to here, 2 Choices now:
A) Click "Browse" if the picture you want is on your Computer
B) Enter Internet Photo Link if the image you want is on a website. ("linking")
Make Sure your picture falls within the signature rules in the green box

Fourth: find the image you want on your computer, select it, and click "Open"

You should see the location of your file here now. Click Upload

You should see your picture show up here now. Click "Insert Signature Picture"

this should pop up in the Text box
add any other text you want here now

4) Making your signature image a link
You want highlight the text: [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] and click the button with the globe on it.
Attachment 393366

Next you want to press CTRL + V to paste the URL you copied earlier. Then press "OK"
Attachment 393367

You should see this in the text box (except it will be your URL instead of "Press CTRL + V to paste your URL" )
Attachment 393368

And last, click "save your Signature", same place where you uploaded.

Not that I am aware of. You can always do it the old fashioned way by posting up a link to a video on other sites like Vimeo or DailyMotion, but I am 99% sure that embedding only works with YouTube
