You write - easy install. Is is true that these require drilling the top of the fender well on each side?

Thanks,
Michael J.

It to me is a very easy to install, and to a DIYer I would consider moderate difficulty, because yes there is a little drilling for the riv-nut install, but it is very simplistic and difficult to do incorrectly, especially with the great instructions Pfadt has created. The tool in included to complete the install so no concern either with not having the specialty piece.

I will also quote them
"Hey everyone, just a little more info on this. This piece was designed to install with rivnuts. Rivnuts are a very common fastener used throughout the OEM GM chassis. This is just another point where they can be used to benefit the chassis strength. We did this for a number of reasons. One is because straddling the strut tower on either side creates a very strong relationship between both the left and right strut towers. The second is that there is really no existing holes to bolt to. The third is because we didn't want to potentially interfere with aftermarket coilovers etc, and bolt through the top near the OEM strut top.

We understand the hesitation to drill holes in your chassis. Not everyone will be comfortable with using a drill to properly install this Strut Tower Brace. But please take into consideration that there are no structural risks you are taking. You are doing quite the opposite. This is a common practice used in OEM manufacturing and motorsport chassis engineering."

Absolutley, in fact they come in black powder coat, its more of a flat color though. If you want gloss black you can get them bare and have them coated to match what ever you like.

BMR goes behind by the firewall which is what the issue is on the v6.

Luckily this is no concern with Pfadt's brace, it will clear and fit and look great on your V6.
