Removal of 12V connector

Can anyone tell me how to remove the 12V connector from the console? I'm installing the 4pack gauge cluster and I have all connections done but I can't get the 12V connector out so I can add it to the new cluster console piece. I don't have the trim removal tool the instructions calls for so if anyone can advise me how I can get around this and get it done, it would be deeply appreciated! This is my only hang up right now and as soon as I get this done, I can button things back and call it lovely!

Thanks!
