Asking for your opinion!

My situation is becoming much better and Im set to get my 5th gen in 2010 hopefully paid in full. The wife has given me permission to make my current Z28 my project car. there are a couple of bodykits/ground effects that I considering after I complete my under the hood mods.

1) RKSport body kit-Full kit $595.00-$645.00 pros: cost of parts and install/paint. Not stupid looking-cons: common ground effects for 4th gens

2) Sunoco body kit- $2100 pros: not common, very pleasing to the eye. cons: TOO EXPENSIVE, never heard of the company that makes it, so I dont know the quality of their work.

Im planning this to be my last mod, so Ill have time to save....but not sure if its worth the money

I'm not sure if it is worth the money either, what all does the sonoco kit come with. I see a wing and a new front fascia, is that it or is there something i'm missing.

I like RK Sport. It has a really nice low look. Those rims are pretty, too.

Just don't put any tasteless neons under there.

After looking at them for several minutes now, i am beginning to see all the small little tid bits that make the sonoco car look really good. Over the year that i have been on this board i have noticed that you are meticulous about things. And with how clean the look of the sunoco kit is, the added curves, and wider stance I'm gonna say that you would be more satisfied with it over just adding a some low grond effects. another Sunoco kit vote!

I think the subtleness of the sunoco looks cool, also you dont see many of them. The RK kit I see all the time. I think it looks a little cheesy in the way the mustang has about 20 dozen different kits. The RK also make the windows look smaller and not proportionate height wise.

Maybe its just me but I'm not a fan of body kits on Camaros. They usually look like a tacked on afterthought. And the Sunoco looks like a caricature of a Camaro, straight from the pages of CarToons. A hood and spoiler can really change the look of the car, thats what I did and love it.

I like the Sunoco kit... funny how there's more votes for the ground effects, but more responses for the Sunoco. I'm a big fan of the ducktail spoiler. You don't see them often on the 4th gens. I really like the wider fenders too... I didn't notice it until you pointed it out, but it looks a lot better with those curves.

now that im actually able to see the differences in the sunoco kit, i wish i could change my vote to sunoco.
in the end, its all up to you as to wich one you want.

I worry a little bit about gaps; look at the hood closely. The color can exaggerate a gap but I've never seen one in person to be objective. If you have a good bodyman doing the work, gaps can pretty much be all worked out. It may cost more but that's bodywork for you. I just think it looks better than a tacked-on ground effects kit - no offense to anyone

i know the harrel cars well, they are kind of the ultimate joke in underrating cars. lol sure its only 400hp but it lifts the front tires when it launches...

i say put the money into your suspension and drivetrain/motor.

having a good-looking car with no power is like stuffing a sock down your pants. its all good........

until you have to perform.

I wouldn't mind the Sonoco kit myself but can't seem to find where to buy one.
