RS or SS badging
what do you guys think of getting a custom made RS rear badge that lights up at night with like an LED or something like that inside? i just thought of it cause i saw one of the members video of the Camaro at the texas fair at night and realized you could not see the badging.

I have plans to make my bowties light up. I think it would look good lit up between those halos.

I've thought about this also. A clear acrylic SS badge centered on the front grill backed by white LED's between the halos would be hot.

I'd like to see that. I've seen other badges lit up before w/ LED's.

That would be cool. The Guigaro Mustang had the Mustang emblem light up with LED's. it was sweet.

I would like to see lighted badges, although I probably wouldn't put any on my Camaro.

how do you take off/ switch the badges without any visiable residue or impressions from the previous badge?

heat up the glue w/ a hair dryer and use dental floss to peel off the letters. there will be a little sticky stuff left over on the paint. rub it off or use a cleaner of sorts to remove it. be careful not to damage the paint. make sure you wax over the area so it's still protected.....unless you are putting other letters on....in which case you'd clean up the area and put on new letters and then wax around them...

that sounds easy enough. but what about the grill? isn't there a huge indentation from the bowtie left there?

well now, you guys just make my life so much easier. if i asked a shop they probably would have told me they needed to do the detailing and more than likely would have charged me an arm and a leg for it

I am intrigued by this idea. A really dark car would look incredible at night w/ halos and a very subtle glowing SS or bowtie.
Of course I'm one of the few around here who don't think exterior ground lighting looks bad so you might not want to take my opinion.

i know its a ford but i saw a really nice done up ford ranger at the big car show in jersey 2 weeks ago its all along the board walk its pretty cool, but anyways the truck had blue LEDs round the front and back ford emblems and they were in the actual emblem so it looked very clean and like it should belong forgot to take a picture though
