SS badge for center of grill or silver bow tie...
Im getting the black SS/RS and I think it would look good and would like to either put a silver/chrome bow tie instead of the gold...OR...a red "SS" emblem for the center of the grill...thoughts?

I will definatley get an aftermarket SS symbol when they come out with one. Until they do I can live with the bowtie.

Lemme make sure it's clear that was just my opinion.
The accessory grill comes with NOTHING. No bowtie OR SS. I was just saying I think on the standard grille I think the bowtie looks best, but an SS would look nice in the center of the accessory grille. Sorry if there was any confusion. |

call me silly but has anyone noticed how wide the car looks without any bowtie or SS on the front? i still like that
but otherwise i think im going to replace the gold bow tie with a Blue one, in homage to the Zl1 camaros of the past

I was thinking this morning Accessory Grill w/ no badging. I'll put my 'SS' badges on the fenders and trunk, then custom LS3 badges on the rear end of the hood cowl

It is. If you just take it off, you'll have a dimple in the center of the grille...

If there would be an SS center badge, I think it would warrant an entirely new grille. If you take off the bowtie, it leaves a very large indention that would require an "SS" badge so big to fill it that it would look disproportionate to the car.
See? The only thing that I could think of to pull off the SS badge without replacing the grille would be a proportionate-sized part containing the badge with a grille-colored spacer behind it to fill in the rest of the indention. There would be seams, though.

Are the front and back bow ties easily removable? I want to debadge everything on my car as soon as I get it! Even the "Camaro" on the side!

I am getting the grill insert on my SS. Now would you say i should leave it plain or place a SS badg on the fromt grill. No wkeep in mind that it will be the 2SS cyber Gray w/ Black rally stripes and the RS package.

I made this to show what it would look like to have a center mounted SS emblem with a custom grille on a production car:
