Music for the Maiden Voyage?
So it's 2009, and you've got your Camaro... its rumbing quietly at the end of the dealers driveway. You have 450hp of Angry American V8 waiting under your right foot and you are scrolling thru your iPod looking for the right tunes to start your Maiden Voyage... what do you choose?
My speakers will most likely be featuring something by Black Label Society or Killswitch Engage... not sure which just yet... but I am always looking for good suggestions! ~LSx |

1st choice; roll down the windows and enjoy the sounds of the V8.

Just a quick note, I think EVERYONE is going to rev it a bit, and enjoy the tailpipe-tunes for a while before starting any other music!
And non-head-bangers are always welcome! Hip hop? Fine! R&B, DO IT! Techno? lets here it! Variety is the spice folks! ~LSx |

I thought someone else may have already started this...
Perhaps we should make this a sticky? Keep it running until someone ACTUALLY drives theirs away! LSx |

I am fairly certain I will not even be aware that there is a radio in the car for at least the first week as I will be too focused on hearing the sweet exhaust and the sound of the tires spinning.... yeah, I pretty much guarantee I will need new tires within the first week.... I'm not even joking

I have to say that I will definitely be listning to the exaust note as I smoke everyone I come across...and watch the fuel gauge barely move...
But after that it will be Back in Black by AC/DC |

Once get older and just want to drive-not for sport-just for the ride...Ole '55 by the Eagles, that song gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it. I'll admit that the first time I heard it and thought of me just driving around in my Camaro I almost cried.

I agree Dragon...The thought of driving this Iconic car makes me smile ear to ear...Ive allready taken a second job to save for this car, and maybe a new set of rims and tires right after I drive it off the lot! I was thinking of maybe "Dust in the wind" as the first song.

I'd have to say if I got a black car I'd have to do Back in Black by ACDC. if not I'm not sure. but it will be a sweet tune.

Hey I am going to have to go with Cadillac Don Peanut Butter and Jelly "everybody has a chevy" look it up and listen to it I think you'll like it. And after that I agree with you all ACDC "Back In Black". I am the type of peson that will listen to almost anything that has a good beat to it.

I'd have to go with "Push It" by Static-X. I will have listened to the engine on the test drive.

I'm going to be listening to the pure all american V8 rumble coming from the exhaust pipes leaving the dealer parking lot....and the "Hey! Check that out. That's the new Camaro!" from all the people sitting next to me at the stop lights. MMmmm, then I might put on a mix CD. There will be a lot of time between now and then. But a few of the greats until then...
Dire Straights - Money for Nothin Korn - Word Up Van Halen - Hot for Teacher and Yankee Rose ZZ TOP - La Grange Metallica - Anything will work from them! Guns and Roses - Read the above Thin Lizzy - Cowboy Song or The Boys are Back in Town Motley Crue - Too Young to Fall in Love or Kickstart My Heart Ozzy - Anything would work from him too Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name of, Testify, Renegades And my burned CD list could go on...but I'm sure I'll listen to quite a few songs before I make it back to the house!!! |
