Who has placed an SS on the Heritage Grille - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Anyone installed a Heritage Grille and installed an SS on the front?

Please post pics and where you got the emblems from, Thanks So Much.

Several have gotten it from SLP. It looks good also.

I emailed them and they told me they had no clue how to attache the SS to a Heritage Grille, go figure

Are you looking for the new style or old school? Do you want it in the center or off to the side like the factory grill.

NO. It is just molded plastic. You have to get it painted. there is someone on the forums who was selling them painted.

The grilles come in a matte grey color right out of the box. Some of our customers have chosen to install the heritage grille in the matte grey as they come, but most have chosen the colormatched route. Below is the grille right out-of-the-box. (of course with our bowtie clips and SS emblem added)

i just reused the one off my stock grille. it wasnt hard. i took the original plastic mount and trimmed it down to fit on the new HG. then hotglued it from the rear. i was gonna make a custom mount but the glue was quick and easy and it fits tight this way so its not coming off.

I was looking to put an SS on the center of the grille, kinda like the concept, so I guess it would be old school, since mine is a 2SS non RS the SS is going to be white. Any pictures would greatly appreciated, John

Does anyone know if they make the new style red SS in a bigger emblem? The ones on the car are too small to go on the Heritage Grille IMO.

I made my own mounting pad out of a fiberglass mold. Attached with stainless hardware. Sorryabout the grainy pix from my blackberry. The letters are 5" long and 1 5/8" high. I wanted the newlooking SS badges. Currently working on the deck lid fitment.

I just noticed from the installation link (above) that the one installed was silver metallic looking on the lettering where my installed SS was old school white. Which matched the 69 emblems I bought for the back and sides.
