Hey Dangeruss, is the ATAK catback 2.5 or 3 inch?

Thanks.

Dangeruss Bro,

Thank you so much for the great videos. The quality is great and the comparison is too! It was a toss up between S-type and Atak for me and now I get it it's just a matter of taste. They are both AWESOME!!

ATAK for me, no headers, gotta keep that warranty iron clad

Those videos were great. I really like the sound of the S-type. I prefer the deeper rumble.

I decided to go with the Borla touring exhaust on my L99. I'll be getting my Kooks LT headers at the same time along with a tune. AFM will be turned off at that time too. I don't want my car to be too loud and I want to make sure I don't get the dreaded drone. I understand the touring exhaust is a bit louder than stock. I hope that the touring exhaust with LT headers will make a menacing growl that isn't too loud.

Thanks Jim.

I was thinking it was 2.5 b/c I thought I read it somewhere before, but wasn't sure.

Might be switching out my JBA for this sometime in the future.

This is a 2.5, but David said they will be offering a 3" system. Here's David's quote:

My understanding is that you're fine with 2.5" unless you're pushing come crazy horsepower (like 800+).

Thanks guys. I like the deep rumble of the S, but the ATAK is more aggressive so I decided to keep that one. You really can't go wrong either way.

Sounds cool but I want to keep the borla exhaust S version, compromised with it for sometime now.

I have this price again on this ATAK system

Good lord..... I just would like a good sounding system. Too much talking not enough getting with the plan in that video. The short burst during your speech sounded a lot like my neighbors lawn mower.

Do you have a video of your exhaust sounds without the speech?

Ahh Russ has made a better video. Quick and to the point.

Honestly, I think the ATAK system sounds like a riced out 4 banger. Maybe I need to heard it in person but it just doesnít seem to have the deep V8 sound to me. I love Borla and I am going to put in a Borla system, but Iím not sure just yet if I want the ATAK or S-Type. Listening to the S-Type and the ATAK I think the S-Type sounds much better. Deep low rumbles compared to the ATAk which seems noisier but more like a 4 banger ricer rocket.

I love the ATAK.. nice work over at Borla. Always have loved the deep race car type sound out of an exhaust package.

Are you recommending the touring system from the cats back for my car or is there no non-stock exhaust that will eliminate the L99 drone? I will stay with the stock exhaust rather than get that drone. Should I wait and get the 3" pipes? - I will be the first to admit I'm a novice at this, so I ask lots of questions before diving in. Thanks.
Darth, I have some experience with drone heard with an Aftermarket exhaust.... it is completely ANNOYING!!!! With L99 and cruising at highway speeds, 60-70 mph, the engine kicks in the AFM and that is where the drone comes from. If you turn AFM off with your engine tune job, you will not hear the drone anymore because the AFM is gone. You can put any exhaust on at this point and get exactly what you want and i think you Touring system will be perfect! Please post video when you get all done.

David or Chris@Borla, I'm in the catagory "My wife won't allow me to change computer settings because she believes in warranties". So, I'm pretty sure I need a system that gives me the super agressive sound and combats AFM drone at the same time. You got something for that? Nice video!

You definitely need to hear it in person then. The last thing you'll ever think is ricer. I had and loved the S-type, but this thing just sounds like a beast. Zero rice here...just a 22oz porterhouse with a loaded baked potato!

That's what I would like to at least do. I'm sure it sounds totally different in person. I will say that all my previous Mustangs I have owned i always went with MagnaFlow because I always loved the low rumbles but it would pop when I jumped on the gas.

But I am sure without hearing it I would go with the ATAK just because I trust Borla and I'm sure I would be very happy with it.
