Question GMPP Headers

Has no one tried the gmpp shorties? I have the track exaust, but wanted to add headers and a CAI without havint to tune.
Does GM offer a tune after installation of their
products, or are they the "no tune needed" upgrades?

Do you want to be able to say you have headers or do you want the performance that should go with them?

TSP just did a shortie install on a car that actually lost power. They weren't GMPP shorties but there's not much difference between the offerings. The plus's are, they are CA legal, will pass visual cat inspection, and shouldn't throw cat eff. codes. Bottom line, they are more for looks and sound. A CAI shouldn't throw codes so you shouldn't NEED a tune for it. Make sure you do your homework on which ones work well without a tune.

Are you working with a shop in Memphis? If so, which one?

I am looking for performance well over looks. This is my first sports car, and I want it to do its job and do it well, but like many others I dont want to toss out my warranty either. Not only is it my first sports car, its my first brand new vehicle.

Not working with any shops yet, I just called one of the dealerships and asked about the headers, and the track exhaust was put on in Dyersburg where I bought the car. I have read so much in the last few days Im more confuzed than I was when I started, with what works, voids warranties, etc...

When you get all confused, it's time to step away and take another approach. There are several shops on here that will lead you in the right direction and are willing to talk to you. Call a few of them and see what they have to say. Be sure to buy from them as well.

Shes in the shop!

Went with Kooks powder coated long tubes, LMR CAI, and
a hypertec tune from Josh @ Premeir autosports on Kirby Whitten.
thanks for the input!
