APF "Stage One" Turbo Build

Just started another turbo build...we will have complete build start to finish and show you how its done....


This build is kinda special to us........ its like a outpatient..At 6 oclock we put her back together the customer can get home!.........Hey we are all about customer service....

Outpatient turbo install. At least in this elective procedure you don't have to have someone drive you home once the install is over.

Lookin real nice. I bet this is going to be great.

Many people think just because an IC pass the test in dyno environment, then it's good enough. IC, needs to recover fast and if it doesn't,heat soak builds up and quick here goes the performance.

In one case I built my own water spray over intercooler to keep things cooler.

General turbo question: If you are producing that torque spike couldn't you really size up with out losing spool characteristics?

Will do this is going to be a fast build... We had to fab all parts and send them off to get coated .. The only thing left to build is the cold side
stuff...it's going to the dyno Friday on only 7 lbs of boost..

The intercoolers that Jon builds are some of the best. No worrys about heat soak. I had one of there intercoolers making over 1000rwhp and beat on it daily and never had a problem with the intercooler recovering back to normal temps.
