Camaro Meet??

Dear All,

(not sure if this is the right place to put this thread but...)

I am a college kid in St. Louis and I just got my camaro 2lt yesterday!
I was wondering if there's going to be a meet or something anytime soon in the area here in the Midwest?

Also could someone help me. I had a pretty awful time driving my camaro back from the dealership yesterday. I was wondering how much should I let up on the clutch before I add some gas. I stalled out pretty badly quite a few times on the way back. lol. fail at life...the last time I drove a manual was last summer and the car was nowhere near the strength of the camaro.

damn I'm loving this car.

Congrats on the car! Try the regional forums, lots of info there, even a section expressly for meets/events

let up on the clutch until you feel the car start to move and then give it some gas.should only take a couple of days and you will be doing it without thinking.

well I guess my question really is how fast am I supposed to reach that point, cause at stoplights, especially left turn lanes, I kind of need to get a move on right?

the first time i drove my car i was pretty miserable. you should just press the gas a little bit, and i mean i really little bit, and then when the car startes to edge forward you let go the clutch and on the gas seamlessly. you will get used to it. its not that bad after the first 3 days.
