Its summer and classes are done! Let me know when you guys want to go for a ride or go to a track. Ive seen a few of you guys around. I saw the white ss with a trunk black out and slp SS emblem with some beefy exhaust tips at UTEP around early may . Ive already seen AC223mal's car. He gave me a ride in his sliver ss when I was trying to decide on a color to order at the dealership really sealed the deal for me to order my car . lozano tagged my car with a camaro5 business card while I was at work one day I want to meet you guys put a face to your cars. I really want to hit up that track you guys were at. Ive never been to a track before and would love to legally race this car. Let me know. Heres some pics of my car.

hey everybody,

I was rolling tru town yesterday, by george dieter and I-10, next to mission.

I was passing by, I saw the Indy 500, orange with the decals on the doors, and with white stripes.

Didn't chevy make a limited number in the Indy 500

Will do next time John.

The track in Roswell was prepped very nicely, pretty sticky. I cut mostly 1.9 60's throughout the night and my best was again my first pass which was an 11.4@128.

Hoping to have the slicks and skinnies soon so I can bust off some 10's... We upgraded the pulley on the car and now it's pushing 11psi instead of 9psi, feels good. I think the car has 10.4's in it with the slicks and skinnies and better weather, we had a pretty monster headwind all night.

Been around but still new

Hi everyone. My name is Alex. I've been following Camaro5.com for a while now, but don't really post anything on the forums. So I thought it was about time I got a little more involved. I am from El Paso, but am in the Navy stationed in Japan. I have a 99 Hugger Orange SS that I never get to drive. I want to get the new Camaro when I get back to El Paso and hopefully put the Navy behind me.

Maybe some of you have seen me in my Hugger Orange before. I used to go to the drags a lot once upon a time back in the Dezert Demon days.

Anyway, good to meet you guys.

Awesome times! I just got a new tune and it feels a little stonger, so I hope to be chasing your times soon! Man I wish I could hook on the strip like I can on the street, my neck still hurts from my shake out yesterday.
Have you found brakes yet? I am really looking forward to seeing this setup.

Hey Chorizo, you do any fishing when you were over there in Costa Rica? I hear the deep sea is amazing, and they have peacock bass in the fresh.

I have a question for all of you about your purchase. Last time I was in town was in January and I went to check them out at the dealership and they wanted $40,000 for a 2SS at Mission Chevrolet. I was wondering if they are still marked up that much over MSRP and if you all happen to get a deal somewhere else.

I bought mine at Galles Chevrolet for $36,000 (2SS/RS with stripes) I went through USAA's Car Buying Service and they hooked me up.

Hmmm.... I never considered USAA before. I was going to see how much of a discount I could get for active duty military. I doubt it's much, so I was definitely looking at other means.

Rudolph Chevrolet has had them for MSRP since day 1, mission and viva are the only ones who overpriced them.

I remember seeing your car. I was walking from the BUSN build to the bioscience build and saw you roll through the parking lot. Your car looks good!

I just had a guy send me a PM this morning saying he has a set for sale and I told him I'd take them, so should have a set within the next week or so.

I went in-shore fishing twice, first time i believe we caught a red snapper, second time nothing. I'm not a big fishing guy but Manuel Antonio/Quepos (where I stay) is world famous for it, so I think you'd have a blast if you are into it.

This is the outfit we used twice, the guy is awesome very funny: http://idrafishing.com/

I picked mine up in Austin and got it for $800 off MSRP. I wouldn't pay a penny over sticker.

My 2SS was $33,800.

Edit: Also, here's a vid from Roswell, skip ahead 42 seconds for run.
