As I understand it, very bright lights cause them to dim so that looking into them doesn't hurt the driver's eyes.

If it is like my old Monte or my moms TB the mirror has kind of a green tint.

Is it still like this or has that changed in the past couple of years?

Any idea on the prices for each trim? Even guesses?

Yes, it will dime the mirriors to an almost night vision type green color so some jerk behind you in a huge truck with his brights on doesn't blind you. It works good! I can't believe that it isn't standard on everything but the base LS though.

This is AWESOME news!

This completes my dream, so now I know exactly how I will build it:

1SS Manual, Silver/Black Cloth
RS Package
Moonroof
Console Gauges
Hurst Short Throw Shift kit

On the more serious side, I wonder how the gauges and the pre-wiring are engineered. If it's plug and play, I could install the gauges myself (why pay the dealer?)

Does anyone have an up close picture of the gauge location of one of the cars at Indy without console gauges? I would like to see how the console is assembled at that point, and if it can be taken appart without completely dismantling the entire console assembly.

Is that the convenience + connections package? Or something unlisted?
I admit I didn't pay very good attention to the presentation at Indy...

Still confused. Is that (^) a general statement? Or in regards to Camaro.
Because I would think the ambient lighting makes things a little different...

Headpunter,

There seems to be much confusion here, possibly due to the way you outlined the standard and optional features.

So, could you restructure the outline so that each trim is represented with ALL of the standard features for that specific trim, and then ALL of the options for each trim, individually? (LS: all stadard features, all options LT1: all standard features, all options LS2: etc.)

I know that would be quite extensive, especially with the redundency of power windows on all trims, but I think it would go a long way to clear everything up for everyone so they know exactly which trim comes with exactly which standard features and have available exactly which options.

Thanks.
