Strange Dyno Graph

after getting the car dyno'd the noticed the x axis on the read out was "time" and not engine speed or rpm's. the range goes from 0 to 19.3 seconds (im guessing seconds anyway). does anyone know why they did it like this and what the significant is, if any, of the time?

Sounds like your tuner / dyno shop didn't change the X-axis into RPM or wheel speed. All dynos will measure the time of the dyno but obviously it is meaningless. Most tuners save every dyno pull so I'd go back to them and ask for your plot with something meaningful on the X-axis and if you plan to post it here for consistency sake please have them plot with SAE correction and smoothing of 3. That'll allow you to compare to most on here though more and more post the pretty uncorrected (gotta love low temps in the winter) or STD corrections, various or no smoothings, and even shifts in the plots making huge spikes. But anyway, your dyno shop should be able to give you a better plot no prob.

Here is a copy of the dyno readout. Opinions?

Yeah, they just need to give you a different X-axis variable, either RPM (preferred) or wheel speed and from that you can calculate RPM. Since they plotted HP and TQ on same scale the point at which the lines cross is 5252 rpm since HP = TQ*RPM/5252. Overall your numbers are very strong but I don't see a correction factor listed and at your location on that date it is going to be less than 1.0 (I think, I'd have to calculate to be sure) which means your SAE numbers would be a bit less than shown.

I have done this by accident also. There are three buttons for the x-axis, RPM, MPH & Time. The graph looks the same so it is easy to miss.

Your graph is still saved and can be printed with the correct x-axis.
