I removed the pic as soon as I read the old posts about the other billboard back in Oct. 2008.
The really sucky thing is that the billboard is VERY close to our meet location for the caravan to C5Fest on April 15th.
I took the pic today after checking out the location for our caravan.

It's interesting to me, if you actually look around at their site, the only thing that is recent is the pic of the Camaro-ish icon. All the "claims" are from early 2009, before the Camaro was even really being produced. Even their blog hasn't been updated for almost a year...What the....???

Good observation!
Their first Louisiana billboard was reported on C5.com back in Oct. 2008,
before any Camaros were out.
The artist obviously used Bumblebee as a model.
I don't know when this current billboard went up, but I noticed it in January.
(I don't drive that route very often)
I am a new Camaro owner/enthusiast, just finding and buying my car 4 months ago,
out of the blue - no pun intended.
I hate this billboard - it's an insult to our beautiful cars!

Copyright laws say that an image must be changed 30%. The image of a camaro was obviously used but it was also obviously changed at least 30%.

Could somebody get mad because they use a Camaro for bumblebee if they dont like the transformers? Yeah, it sucks that they used it but youll have to get over it. People get offended to easy.

It doesn't really matter to me personally, but if I was the owner of a company and found a billboard depicting an image of my product in a negative way, you are damn rights I would check out my legal options.

And when you change an image by 30%, but the 30% you changed is Hijacked from ANOTHER company (Disney's CARS, in this case,) I don't know if that should really constitute change.

As far as the Transformers comment, GM PAID to have their vehicles in the movie, so they had a choice in how their products were represented. Not really the same with this billboard
