Help me choose between these two catbacks...

Doug Thorley.. http://dougthorleyheaders.com/produc...productID/1044
GHL.... http://ghlexhaust.com/Chevrolet.html

If I were to base my decision soley on price, DT wins. Maryland Speed has the DT's for a good price. I've had GHL products in the past and was very pleased. The DT site does not have any specifics regarding what type of steel the cat back are made of orwhat size the tips are. GHL on the other had gives a very good description of its product. Also, most likely will go with the DT Shorties at some point, but that really doesn't influence my decision. I"m condsidering having the dealer install them before I take delivery. Installation charge about $250.00. Seems a bit high to me, but may be worth it just to get it done at delivery time.

If anyone has any specifics on the DT's (steel, tip size, etc), I'm all ears.

As always, thanks for the input!!

Mike

I pre-ordered the Pypes cat-back, canceled and ordered the DT cat-back. Waiting for arrival.

That's who I was thinking of buying from. $499.00 for a cat back is very inexpensive. Any idea of the quality compared to the GHL in my op?

No idea. Based on the header reviews, my expectation is high.

That's what drove me to looking at DT's cat back. Also, I just don't see how I can go wrong for the money and the reputation of DT.

Any idea what a reasonable install fee would be? I absolutely can't do it myself.

No idea. I would guess 1-2 hours of labor. Depending on the shop probably around $200.

That's what I was figuring for a non-dealership. The dealer who I ordered the car from, gave me a price of $265.00. I think I'll shop around a bit. There are a couple of performance shops local to me.

Thanks for the input/advice. I appreciate it.
