That is truly outstanding. I love the HUD , but I am still holding out for the convertible!

Why would they change a whole engine 1 model year into a new car? lol that's expecting to much (for the person that asked if it's the same v6 engine)

"Synergy Green will be offered on ALL models for a limited time"

How about the people that have already bought a Synergy Green - now they find out that they could have gotten a 2LT, 1SS, or 2SS in that color. Great for those who waited, not cool for the others!!!

C5's and C6's DO have a special windshield on HUD cars to help increase the definition of the HUD. I believe its polarized or something. That said the HUD works perfectly fine on cars without that windshield its just not as defined and doesn't hold up as well in direct sunlight. IMO not worth changing a $1000 windshield.

Installing the HUD will be a major job. Not only do you have to remove and replace the entire dash and transfer all the component into a new one. But more importantly there is no guarantee that the 2010s have the correct connectors on their wiring harness for it in the first place. This would be an expensive and time consuming job.

Gotta keep ahead of the Mustang V6. More power = good thing. Cafe = bad thing

Thanks for the info.

Honestly, I expected more. Maybe, as other have said, this is only the first volley of information and more is to come.
Im sure you really think its too bad that it does "little or nothing". These are the types of comments ford guys throw out there that basically say "HAHA" without actually saying it.

Although I agree its not enough to do anything, but the average car buying idiot will say oh the Camaro has more HP. Thats what Im buying.

Is that the same v6 engine tweaked?
Maybe they are adding the performance airbox stock, and it was able to get that?

Now if they would only release the GM Airbox

Not too suprised here. Wasn't expecting many drastic changes after the first year. Some people just seem to set themselves up for disappointment by expecting too much. I myself am happy with what I have and could care less about a powered passenger seat since I'm never in it. If you like the car with what it has then you'll buy it. If not, you can either wait until next year and see what may change or go buy something else.

i'm pleased with the changes, and i expect there may be a few more minor changes possibly.

I'm not sure what everyone was expecting, but 2011 isn't a design overhaul, just a new model year... i wouldn't be expecting huge changes until whenever they to that total overhaul.

Hopefully the 8 hp came via a factory tune... say, one that could be applied to 2010 V6's?

I was hoping for a gear option that could help drive down the insane prices companies are charging for gears right now.

I'd consider that a win for new buyers. Damn no HUD for me :( Green SS Sweet! No Z28 nuggets?

I'm going to go out on my wild horse and say that this is exactly what happened. GM: Assuming Ford would beat their numbers buy no more than 5 hp, left some breathing room in the 2010 tune... then with a simple program change, poof, mustang numbers beat at least for another model year.

If GM is truly listening to us, they noticed that ABM outpolled Synergy Green by almost 80%, and they'll offer ABM or a similar medium blue again.

Like others have said, I didn't expect any major changes on a 1 model-year-old vehicle...just some minor tweaks. I'm glad the H.U.D. will be available...it's a cool feature.

True.

Maybe folks are just looking at the Mustang's dyno numbers. If Ford didn't underrate the 5.0 and it dynoed what it was suppose to for 412hp(around 350ish) then no one would have a problem with the power. The Camaro can't add anymore hp, then it will be stepping on the C6 Corvette's feet.

The V-6 upping the Mustang's V-6 is cool. If it could up it in mpg would be even more of a blow landed by GM! Ford is highly touting having a 305hp car that gets 31mpg hwy.

The only thing I am really interested in is
1) Is the HUD easy to install on a 2010 (if possible)
2) Will they offer different gears

Hell the biggest thing I'm waiting on is the yellow interior trim kit! Maybe if they offer them on the 2011's as an factory option I can finally get some for my 2010!!
