Borla's New ATAK System

Just wanted some opinions on this system alone. Do you guys think its too loud. Good Sound? How do you guys like borla's quality. Just some reassuring or even criticism posts are what I am looking for.

But I can tell you that the fit and finish quality of the Borla products is awesome. They produce a high quality product there is no doubt about that.

Have not heard this new ATAK system, either, but I had Borla on my '05 GTO, and my '07 C6 Vert... Wonderful sound, and quality.... can't really go wrong....

I love my Borla S-types paired up with KOOKS LT. The sound is amazing. Really thinking about swapping out the rear sections for the ATAK's

I thought the $1400 price tag was the retail price. I am expecting these dealers to have a MUCH better price. I would drop $1000 for it pretty quick. Has anyone seen any prices out there yet? The only price I can find is at southerncarparts.com and they are ridiculous on just about everything they sell (my opinion).

Way I see it is I could find a good cat-back for half the price and spend the other $700 on a cam and come out way ahead of the game.

Thanks man!! This is exactly what I was looking for! I knew someone would get it closer to the $1K mark! Now lets see if the others step up and run some decent deals.

Has anyone looked into a group buy on this ATAK package? Do you guys do group buys on this forum? Just curious. I will probably start a new thread on this so it gets more attention.

I personally think $750 - $800 is a reasonable price. Competitive with other vendor cat-backs.

Should sound a hell of alot better for the MSRP it carries. Gotta remember, you're paying for that swell YouTube production and all that advertising that comes with the name.

For the MSRP, one could get a complete, QUALITY, exhaust.

Just my thoughts,
Ivan

Keep in mind that the factory cat-back is about as good as it gets as far as hp #'s. If your paying big bucks for a cat-back system it is ONLY for the sound because nobody has been able to make any real increases in HP/TQ over the OEM system. You'd do better spending that $$ on intake, cam, headers or gearing for better performance.

I can't comment on the quality of these CBs, however, after having a set of XR1s and two CBs for my '95 and '02 Z28s, I can say that these are as high a quality as you can pay for.

" 4.30's Can we say no traction! lol

I would think it would void your rear end and Transmission warranty."

Does anyone know if we have a Forum vendor selling the atak system at a great price?

just in case i wasn't clear for others...

that $1199 price is shipped (no tax) and it's for the ATAK system. the way i wrote it, it could be read as being for the S-Type system...just wanted to clear that up. and i have no affiliation with Titan Motorsports, other than i just bought my exhaust from them. i'd been shopping around for prices and that was the best i'd seen yet. just want to share with others.
