Aww, my hubby loves me. He had a custom sound system put in..Double Din video

Last Wednesday my husband Indpowr stole the car from me and took it to Orlando to get a 100% makeover on the sound system. It took a whole week and a day without my car.. But, I got it back now and it is awesome!!
I will let him tell you what we put in it.

Nice... Now you got a sound system that matches the rest of your Camaro!

Not a bad fit either! I was wondering what it would look like with an aftermarket stereo... our stock one seems to be 'oddly' shaped.

NOPE. 100% function all works with the radio, blue tooth, etc...

Also still have onstar, directions, BT. Everything is the same.

With the Metra Kit, you have to hide the original stereo equipment somewhere in the car no? Or so that what I heard...since a lot of the car's functionality is programmed into the stereo? If so...where does it go?

Also...if someone needed to make a change to some sort of setting that was accessed through the OEM radio...how would you do it wih the Metra Kit?

No OEM stuff other than the stock AMP in the rear truck that I only use certain wires. It is all built into the Metra kit. The stereo is programed to the radio. The Bluetooth and OnStar work like OEM with steering controls. You Pair the phone by holding down the Push to talk on the steering wheel. We did the OnStar navigation tonight with no problems.

Here is a video of the steering wheel buttons showing working on the radio. Done with my iphone so not top end video..

I like the mudflap chick for the climate control info I want to add subs when I get mine but nothing that serious, Just a couple diamond d6's.

Did you have to do any electrical upgrades? or does the stock alternator handle the watts?

Additional info.

For those that want the OEM items to be on a display like before.

The vehicle customization features can be done with the kit. It will require the use of an optional Axxess display, and you will be able to scroll through all of the items that the OE radio supports. Affects remote unlock, turn off delay for the lights, etc. Most people should just do the settings before removing the OE radio, but it is possible to change them afterwards. The display could live in the glove compartment when it's not being used.

I was just about to answer your post, but saw you posted this afterwards. You answered my question... Now, how much is the Axxess Display? Just curious, in case i decide I want to later go this route.
