Anyone thought about putting lambo doors on the camaro
how much would it cost to have both automatic lambo doors the ones that open automaticly when ya hit the button.

just an idea.

post some thoughts.

lambo doors belong on lambos, so the doors look fine to me. Plus, the door most of the time is closed, if youre driving it like youre supposed to. Then again, im not a tuner type guy. Just preference i guess.

Um, nope. Leave the scissors for the Lambos. (Just my opinion...certain cars just shouldn't have them...and I would imagine it would add a ton of weight to the car.)

Your gonna get a lot of different opiions since this is a muscle car. I think lambo doors still look awesome to this day. Saw a local cobalt with them and he was walking up hit the button and bam they opened, beautiful. I thought about putting them on my civic and talked to my local tuning shop and they said not a good idea for a daily driver, need too much adjustment. I don't think i personally would want them on my camaro but I do think they would look good on a camaro. If I were doing it I would definately pop for the automatic ones and the best quality/name ones i could find.

I really hope no one puts lambo doors on a camaro ... though if someone is making a show car, I guess it would be okay. But not my style.

The worst car I saw with lambo doors was a bright neon green, 2000 Pontiac Sunfire. I would just feel embarassed to be seen in the car let alone driving it. He should of spent that money on a better car, not saying anything against the sunfire. I had a cavalier z24 when i was going to school and it turned out to be a reliable and fun car.

Lambo doors are pretty terrible. I have seen them on a C5 Corvette and regardless of if you like the look they are a nightmare in terms of getting proper alignment. Also it destroys the resale value of the car which most folks don't take into account.

What are they called? I have only seen them reffered to as Lambo doors

putting lambo doors on a camaro to me would be the same thing as putting a ford emblem on a camaro......completely pointless and totally dumb IMHO....i see these guys cruzin their escalades,civics,300's, and mustangs and me and my buddies just start laughing at how ridiculous they look opening there doors outwards and then pushing them up saying "hey look at me" i have lambo doors LOL

The official term is called scissor doors they were first made for the Alfa Romeo Carabo (sp) a concept car designed by Marcello Gandini. The early reasons for this design were twofold. One reason was for styling, the other was make the driver's life easier when reversing. It's just a joke, I'm sure most of the people here know that the Murcielago and other Lambos have 'scissor doors'
