can we PLEASE stop posting pictures of that orange "camaro" thats a photoshopped BWM. it was released WAY before anything other than the mule camaro existed. is it a good photo-shop who knows thats your opinion, but its not the camaro.

that said the only car i have ever seen with scissor doors was a 3 series BMW coupe. it didnt look half bad, but it was totally out of place on the car.

If the guy likes the doors why attack him for it, some people like certain types of cars some dont, some like certain modifications some dont. is attacking this guy any different than when someone says you should only by economic cars that get over 40 MPG?

that said, i wont get it done but its his car.

the thing is... did you ever notice that when people have specialty hinges, they leave them open an awful lot more than usual?

So what are they?
They're, at the very least, sports cars. They're designed to handle, incorporate things like carbon fiber and adjustable suspension. And they're designed to balance these things well.

And I think you're wrong there. Supercars are so named on merit of their performance; in acceleration, handling, braking, and speed. They do said things on a higher level than say, a Toyota Camry or an E350.

I consider the Z06/ZR1, Viper, and GT to be supercars. They are in the same league as the 911 Turbo/GT2/3, F430, 599GTB, Gallardo, Murcielago in terms of actual performance. Build quality, badge, interior materials aside, these cars can hang with the best.

Either way, they are most certainly NOT muscle cars.

And another thing. THAT BMW CHOP HAS BUTTERFLY DOORS, NOT VERTICAL DOORS. There is a distinct difference in the way they open. Those doors open along only one axis, like the doors on a McLaren/Mercedes SLR.

Okay. To lazy to read ALL 5 pages (and I'm in class at school). But, with this car, considering its trying to mimmic the older camaro to some degree, why not put an older style of 'Custom Door' on the Camaro? To be honest, I as well thought about new door hinges, thought about scissor doors, and shivered. BUT, I then considered Suicide Doors (The ones that open backwards, opening facing forward). And good god, Suicide doors would look really good on this car in my opinion. Just an opinion, and just throwing it out there

Since the car had very poor rear visibility, instead of using the rear view mirror, the driver could open the door and actually drive the car while leaning out. The design was carried forward to the Countach's successor, the Lamborghini Diablo. The only current Lamborghinis in production which use this design are the Lamborghini Murcielago and Lamborghini Reventon Lamborghini has now become synonymous with scissor doors.
nice use of wikipedia.

Do you have to roll down windows everytime you open the door, or does it auto roll down when opening?

EDIT: removed pic since I was beaten to it

(of course I surprisingly don't think they look as bad as I would have guessed... I just wonder how structurally sound they are)
