Rented a SS for the day

Drove it like like 7 straight hours here in Vegas. Impressed with the mpg. Drove to lake mead and mt charleston. Avg fwy was 28.5 and city 22. Looks like it will be a SS for me. Btw it was auto but still very fun. And sexy!!!

I tried to rent one for memorial day weekend but they only had the v6 available. Is that one still fun to drive?

And I was debating on either buying the V6 or V8. Both are amazing. And I got on it a few times. the trip was around 250 miles!

22 city?
Dude, you're doing it wrong.
Its a freaking rental. Get on it!
If I go easy for a week I'll get 16.5 max.
I dont even see how 22 is possible

Why not rent a Honda then ?

You don't rent a Camaro to see how good of milage you can get, nor do you drive one for the milage....

Really......

I zeroed my mpg display at my last fillup and took off with the cruise control set to 55 just to see how high it would go. Got it up to 27.5 before I got bored and jumped all over it. Back down to 18.5 real fast...

Really......

because a Honda obviously isn't a camaro and the camaro is what he likes...

i understand that the camaro is a performance car, but why the need to bash someone for experimenting a bit? is there a regulation against being able to drive a camaro without completely drizzling fuel on the road everywhere you go?

the beauty of the new camaro would be that it can be as powerful as it is while also being efficient when driven gently.

maybe that's not worth a cent of merit to you, but i don't make a post implying someone is an idiot for just not thinking the way i do.

because that would only show how ignorant/stupid/retarded/close-minded/inflexible-brained i am. obviously...

You don't need to rent a car to test the gas mileage. He's on the forums. Plenty of places to read up on that here. Ever heard the term "drive it like a rental"? Yeah, you should do that with a rented camaro.

Trust me I drove it like I stole it while I rented it but I wanted to see how sufficent the gas could be when I won't be driving it like I stole it. Yes I will be buying one as soon as I can save 10k for a down payment and I won't be getting this car for the mpg I was just saying how impressed I was with it lol.

O wow. How are you liking the LS. I wanna ride in one that's not a dealer car lol. One that is broken in. I test drove a LS but had like 2 miles on it. If I can't get approved for the SS it's LS all the way

!!!!

I get almost the same mileage he did. I was shocked. Brought her home in December, 1st tank got 18.5 combined city/hwy. After she got "broken in", I'm now getting 21+ combined, 27 highway with a 2SS/RS M6.. Didn't buy it for the gas mileage, but that's just one added bonus.
