I Saw this video....and the guy from dyno put the v6 on the dyno...and said that the car was getting 255 hp and 235 torque.....doesn't make sense to me!! Doesn't the v6 come with 304hp....and 273 torque....?????

Please someone explain!

304HP and 273TQ was rated at the flywheel. Dyno's numbers are at the rear wheels.

yea its at the wheels. when car makers put out HP and TQ numbers they get it from the flywheel or crank. like and advertised 500 hp car may only get 425-450 hp to the wheels. the HP is lost between the tranny, driveshaft and rearend

Hmmm. Vid? Isn't the rate of thumb for HP loss from flywheel to RWHP like 12% or something?

Well... Actually...

The V6 comes with 312 HP and 278 ft/lbs of torque.

They didnt alter anything at all. The 304 rating was just a carry over from the CTS application from what i have been told. They knew it was a little conservative last year when they released it. The 312 is the new rating, and i have updated my sig pic accordingly (:

Interesting video comment, The camaro they tested, is not an RS. not that it matters, just an observation.

Last side note, 33 wheel horse power added just from these? ummm, yes please? and that was with the stock mufflers too! sounds like i need to look into this.
