Camaro pics from last weekend (Columbia River Camaro Club)

The Columbia River Camaro Club came by work (Ron Tonkin Chevy) last weekend and we displayed some of the members cars out front. Nice weather and the cars sure looked great. The classic Camaro's drew a lot of attention, in fact the police next door stopped in to see what the heck was going on. There was a very nice white 73 Camaro that came in late, but I didn't get a picture of it because it wasn't parked yet.

My wife Liz and I joined the club at the last club meeting and I plan to take lots of pictures and do as many cruises with them as we can. We don't have a Camaro yet, but I plan to get one next year if the finances are right.

We have offered to do a car show and I plan to volunteer where I can. The location is good and I think it will be real fun.

B.T.W. If I can dig up my old Polaroid pictures of my last Camaro restoration I will scan and show you my 1987 IROC that I painted and restored at my house. I also had a 1967 6 cyl Camaro at one time.

I would like to go, but I have a prior commitment with the Portland Historic Races that same weekend.

What did your '67 6-cyl look like? I have one! It's a 230 Granada Gold convertible.

Mine was a faded brown with Cragers and it was a coupe. I never got around to restoring that car. I think I paid $1,000 back in 1996.

Heh, very cool and "old school" with the Cragers!

Here's my '67 on display last year:
