Thinking about selling the SS

I've been pondering the ideal of selling it and buying a body in white.

My question is should I put it back stock or sell it modded? Any input? Modded it can make 540 on motor and 740 on spray. Is this to much power to sell?

Back to stock = can sell it to anyone looking for an SS.

Leave it as is = can likely only sell it to other speedfreaks/gearheads/racers.

Questions are...how much did you put into it and how much of that are you willing to lose when you sell it and how long are you willing to wait to find a buyer?

Well I don't have much in the mods and I don't have a time frame. I don't even have to sell it but I could build a race car in a matter of days with the sell of it.

I'd take the mods off and sell it as stock. That way the new owner might still have a warranty. Unless you can find that right buyer that wants a setup like you have already and are willing to pay for it.

If your looking to build a all out race car, the body in white is the way to go. That way you can tub it, put in the suspension parts you want and things like that.

We had a heck of a time trying to sell our 2ss/rs STOCK so I would think you'd have an even harder time selling it with mods on it. If you're really serious about selling it I think you'd have an easier time putting it back to stock...

if you can use the mods.that you take off,i would sell it stock.normally you are not going to get back what you have in it.don't think you would lose as much selling it stock.

How much are you going to spend on a biw? I mean everything to get a working car.

Seems like you'll lose quite a bit if dump your current SS. If it were me, I'd keep that one and just do what you want to it.

Are you looking to do a track only car? BIW's don't have vin numbers and can't be registered for highway use.

lol. This is a body in white Camaro. You're basically just buying the unibody and body panels to build a race car.

From what I understand, the Camaro BIWs are all rejected production bodies that all have sort of issue that prevented them from being used on a production car.

No problem my friend. Don't be ashamed of not knowing what it was. We're all here to have fun and hopefully learn a thing or two along the way. Didn't mean to make you sound stupid with the lol. I just had to chuckle a little bit.

Techinally, "body in white" is a term used by auto manufacturers to describe the body of a production car as it comes down the assembly line into the paint shop.
