Dyno results are in

And I have to say I am disappointed. I have LS3 with a Volant CAI, Magnaflow axle back and a custom tune and, as you can see, I only got a best of 354.97 rwhp and 358.27 tq.

I have heard and seen guys with better numbers with a bone stock LS3.

They said I was running rich. So, with my Predator, is there a way for me to adjust that. If so, how? I should point out, the data logging for my custom tune was done when the temps here in AZ were in the high 60's, low 70's, and, as you can see, the temps today were high 80's, low 90's, so I don't know if that makes a difference either.

With a custom tune you should not be running rich. Your tune is not dialed in. Remember also that dynos are for seeing what mods have done to your baseline. Did you get a baseline on the exact same dyno? Don't be bummed. Dynos give all kinds of different readings. They should only be used to determine hp/tq increase with adding mods.

Well, there was a bone stock LS3 that got a best of 365. That makes me bummed; feel like I wasted money on my mods.

Now that IS telling. Sounds like to me your tune is WAY off. Get that checked out. Your hp is lost in the tune.

Just got mine on a dyno today. Here are my results. Absolutely, totally BONE STOCK by the way.

This is my baseline for anything else I do, if I do anything to the engine at all. I am more interested in getting a short shifter and suspension mods at this point.

Can't; did it through data logging and email.

What he said. Who tuned your car? You mentioned you have a Predator tuner. Is that what you mean by custom tune or did someone actually tune your car?

If your car was custom tuned it should not be running rich.

after seeing this, I definitely need to do something else. Guess I just need to shell out the money and get it dyno tuned.

I hate tunes via the mail. I would suggest you put your stock tune back in your car. My guess is you'll gain HP.

Maybe; at least with my custom tune, I gained MPG's.

Keep in mind every dyno is different. I just dynoed this afternoon on a Mustang Dyno at Vector Motorsports. The car had just about 600 miles on it. Only mod on the car at the time was a SLP II axle back. The car made 370 rwhp and 364 TQ on the best pull (With Correction Factor). Not saying my car is making more than yours, but just that some dynos dyno higher than others. I would say the dyno is best used as a measuring tool for before and after mods.

I understand that but if a bone stock LS3 makes 365 and mine, with mods, makes 354, on the same dyno in the same day, then something is wrong with my car.
