Angry This e-mail just makes me mad

I e-mailed a few dealerships around here asking about their waiting list and MSRP, here is the first reply I got.

Quote:
James,

Unfortunately, Actual Market Value is determined by supply and demand. There is not enough of a supply of the new Camaro's to meet the demand, therefore they will be scarce. So the AMV of the Camaro will be higher than MSRP. It is possible that in the 2011 model year they will go for MSRP. If you change your mind, please let me know.

Thanks,

--

they just dont get it. especially since dealers who sell more because they are under or at msrp will get more cars the next year....

Darn greed. If they would just sell alot of cars at msrp they would still make a profit compared to selling a couple with a couple thousand over msrp

Yeh, at the local dodge dealership. They have a se challenger with a 10,000 mark up for market value. so that puts it at 35,000. Then they have a rt for 45,000. I am just hoping when we order they want have a 10,000 mark up because of market value.

I am hoping the market value thing will only effect the cars on the lot after preorders.

ask him if he knows what "Economies of Scale" means. read the below regarding EOS as it refers to profit....basically the lower the sales price, the more volume sold, the more money you make.

My reply (I at least kept it nice:-P):

Quote:
Brad,

I am sorry to hear that David Stanley is in the business of ripping off its customers. Don't expect me or anyone that asks for recommendations from me to ever do business with your dealership. GM is producing 100k Camaros in 2009 and there are hundreds of honest dealerships around the country that are more than willing to offer the Camaro at MSRP.

I mean these dealerships need to come on I mean they are all having the worst sales ever this past month and they want to rip people off? I say we boycott all the dealerships that put a markup of 10,000 and not buy from them. I bet then they will change there toon. Besides that who in there right mind would buy a SE challenger for 35,000 when it has nothing a weak v6 at that.

Tell that dealer that they have lost all sales from Camaro5 users. Remind them that we are one of the largest Camaro communities on the internet.

You should just send them a link to the "Price-Gouging Dealers" thread. Show them where you added their name.
