And when I say custom I refer to custom paint.

For instance I'll give to examples:

1. ME: Black w/ a secret hotwheels gold bumper to bumper stripes.
Black powder-coated rims
Black ass can be Tint.

2. PINK: Black w/ top half a secret hotwheels pink
Black rims
Black tint (if i remember right).

SOOOOOO lets hear your future custom jobs.............

3. BOUNCERTIME: Black with Gold on top separated by a red stripe.
White circles on doors, hood and trunk lid with the number 13.
Blade spoiler.
Stock rims with spokes painted gold.

I have to see what the white with orange stripes looks like. I may just get some custom stripes put on a cyber gray or black coupe instead. I'm not going custom paint if I can help it, but I'm tricking out some appearance aspects for sure.

Im going ALL Matte Black with Glossy Black bumble bee stripes
Getting the Rims painted Glossy Black
All of the badges and insignia will be painted glossy black as well
Smoked out tails aaaaannnddd tint of course.

I freaking can't wait!!! It's going to be

You know, I though about doing all matte black w/ gloss black stripes, but I'm concerned with how to care for the paint. Some places say you just wash/dry matte paint and go, some say you need to be very careful with it. I'm also concerned with the matte hiding too many body lines or making the car look like it's got a primer job on it, although this pic gives me some hope:

But then... that's a Ferrari.

and i will tint the windows, not black though, probably legal limit.

I've never done any custom painting. How expensive is it typically to get a custom job done for the entire car?

it depends on a whole lot of different factors. The paint, how many stages is it and how expensive is it, where you live, how good the body shop is, what prep work has to be done before you paint....

Like this. I figure it's going to attract a lot of attention anyway, might as well make some money off it by bringing in business (I own the company).
- 2SS/RS
- Cyber Gray
- Undecided if I will keep the RS wheels or go with Polished wheels.
- Include legal Tint.

Thanks Pink. I should have probably been more specific. If I were to say I wanted to spend $3000 on a new paint job, would I be able to get a pretty good job done or is that closer to the bottom of the range. I've never priced it so I really don't have an clue.

Prices are all over the place. For example, LittleWeasel said today that his dealership was planning to offer painted stripes for those that didn't want vinyl. Price: $1200. That was just for paint and clearcoat on the stripes.

If you want a factory quality paintjob (or better), you will end up paying quite a bit for it. Especially if you are changing the color and plan on including door jambs, under hood, etc...

Victory red

Painted black rally stripes and painted blackout inbetween the tails

Blue and silver metal fleck in the paint on the stripes.

Blade spoiler, chin spoiler, and possibly the rear diffuser from the GM accessories catalog.
