Trade: My brand-new 20" MS wheels for your base 1LT 18" wheels
Edit 6/26/10:
SOLD (TRADED) I want to trade my 20's for your Bavarian Silver aluminum 1LT 18's plus $500 (a full wheel/tire/sensor trade), or I will just sell the full 20" set for $1200 or best offer. I will not break up this combo at all, full package deal only. I bought an RS but wanted the alum 18's, so I bought a set from Ebay. I still want to trade for another set so I can put some performance tires on them and have a winter combo and a summer combo. My 20" Midnight Silver wheels/tires/sensors have exactly 1275 miles of mostly highway, easy driving on them, and a couple very small non-noticeable flaws (in fact, the factory paint on the MS wheels have flaws that are just as 'noticeable'. In other words, for all practical purposes, they're just about perfect.) They are safely off of my car, fully cleaned up, sitting in the garage and waiting for the right person to take them home. I will only accept wheels in trade that are 99%+ perfect (maybe the tiniest of non-noticeable scratches), but the tires don't have to be brand new, though it'd be a plus if they were in decent shape. Again, I'll trade all four plus $500, or I'll sell them outright for $1200 obo. This needs to be a local or semi-local deal, I don't have the time to deal with shipping unfortunately. I'm willing to drive a bit of distance (~100 or so miles) to meet up halfway or thereabouts, but I can't do more than that at this time. Last edited by ALLTRBO; 06-26-2010 at 11:53 AM. |

In case anyone else is confused, I don't want the heavy LS "Heritage" 18" steel wheels, I want the the 18" aluminum 5-spoke wheels that come on the 1LT (without the wheel upgrade or RS package).
Definitely willing to deal for the wheels I want, if I can find them. Last edited by ALLTRBO; 05-25-2010 at 09:29 PM. |

SNV, PM returned.
As far as the Heritage wheels, no thanks. I think they belong only on the Heritage cars. ![]() Actually the wheel color is "Bavarian Silver". The actual wheels aren't named, AFAIK, aside from the "1LT 18's", heh. I could be wrong, but either way, you all know what I'm looking for now. ![]() Thanks for the responses. |

oh, is this local only? maybe we could find like a franchise autoshop or something like that, so that they could hold the rims until the transactions are completed or watev....i guess thats too complicated, let me know if you think of something...otherwise i am going to powder coat them this summer keep em

Sorry for the delayed reply, everything's been very busy. I took a trip up to NJ and back Sunday in the Camaro, I loved every minute of driving it, even through torrential downpours in heavy traffic! This car was made for me.
![]() The tires have about 1000 miles on them now, still mostly highway, and they're still pretty much new. I'd say about 95% or more tread left. The 20" wheels are still 100% perfect. Sorry I didn't specify. I'm willing to do a non-local trade, but it would be really hard because this is my daily driver. I might be able to work something out if the downtime is no more than a week or so, though. I'd request that the person I trade with would pay for shipping both ways (one is already willing). I don't know how to guarantee that I won't get screwed, but I guarantee that you won't. If you want to figure out a way to be sure and pay for the service, I'm perfectly okay with that. I don't have any ideas, really, that wouldn't be a big pain.I'd prefer a local or semi-local trade because it'd be easy and simple, I'm willing to drive up to 150 miles or so, and I have the tools to do a swap anywhere if you want to meet halfway (though I don't know of any businesses that would be okay with using their parking lot to swap wheels, haha) One more thing, I've been thinking recently about the extra cost; I'd like an average of about $500, depending on condition of yours vs. mine. A bit more if you have very worn tires or something, less if your tires are in equivalent condition to mine. The wheels themselves still need to be perfect. I know most of the RS package's extra cost is because of these wheels, and I'd like to be compensated somewhat for the extra I paid. I'm sure you can all understand. |

Bump
The tires are still new enough that the tiny little ridge running along the center of the tread is still there on all 4 (looks like a casting line or something). Hurry now because it's my daily driver! I'm am driving fairly easy on them, though, mainly because I want a good trade incentive. ![]() I washed the wheels thoroughly along with the car the other day, still perfect! |

Hmmmm, tempting. My wheels have 18.5k on them with no scratches. Still plenty of tread on them and have been rotated with every oil change.

Love my "bavarians", some don't like em but there ok with me. the only ones I would consider are the 19" polished that can be rotated. might try to pick up a set on ebay later. I also like the Iroc look of the bavarians!

I'm considering buying a set on Ebay (there are several), and then selling the 20's separately.
I'd rather just trade, because if I buy a set of the 18's then I'll have 2 sets of wheels temporarily, so then I'm gonna have to go all out and have the 18's rears widened by 2.5" and have them all powdercoated bright(er) silver along with another subtle mod to make them look awesome(er), with brand new high-performance tires all around, then (quality) bolt-on adapters to bring the rears out to the fenders (which will be lowered via Eibach springs.) My wife won't like that much and this is my new DD, so someone should just take me up on this offer while it's still good. I've gotta put the money into my upcoming sub-3000 pound 600hp capable mid-engine turbo '88 Pontiac Fiero GT. (<<< That's the reason I didn't buy an SS. I don't need one.)

Well I just went the Ebay route and picked up my new 18's today.
Long story, but while I can't go all out like mentioned above (wife laughed and said 'no'. That means 'no', heh), I can get them PC'd or painted a brighter silver. I may yet. So... These 20's are now for sale, but I can't sell them until my other wheels are on, and I'm not quite sure when that'll be just yet. In the meantime, I'm still taking good care of them. I'll be asking $1200 for the whole package still in GREAT shape, preferably a local sale. Lemme know if you're interested. |

On second thought, I would still like to trade, same deal as before (make offer for the extra $$$ involved). Though I bought a set of the 18's, I'd like to have set with winter tires and a set with summer tires, and I can later widen the rears of the summer ones. My wife gave me permission.
![]() I will still sell the 20's for $1200 though, whichever comes first I suppose. I will not break up any of it, they all come as a matching set of wheels/tires/sensors, in great shape still. |

Bump, back up for sale or trade, someone was going to trade me but he curbed one of his otherwise perfect 18's at the last minute. :(
I updated the original post to reflect the current situation, the wheels are now off the car with 1275 miles on them and they're very clean. |

Bump, I'm going to try to get some VERY clear pictures this weekend. Front, back, and with tread depth indicator, for all four.
Again, PLEASE do not PM me asking to trade for the LS 18" steel wheels. I do NOT want those. You'd have to pay me extra to take them from you! If you want to give me $1400 to trade my 20's for your LS steel wheels, then I'll take them. Otherwise, don't even ask. ![]() Thank you. |
