Nice car but not $60,000 worth. It really depends on what you plan on doing with the car. If you are looking for a daily driver, a 5th gen would be better. However, if you are looking for a toy/weekend driver, the 1st gen would be awesome......considering the price is right.

Mines not a big block, but the car you're looking at didn't start life as a big block either. It was 6 cylinder originally per the VIN.

If you're considering this car for $60K, I'd possibly let you have mine for $50K. It's got a GMPP crate 350, Tremec TKO-600 5 speed trans, pro built 4:10 posi 12 bolt, slick black exterior and fresh black and orange houndstooth interior along with a brand new set of Boss Motorsports 338 wheels and tires. A full complement of AutoMeter Phantom series gauges with electric speedo also. I'd even throw in the set of chrome rallys and BF Goodrich tires I have which includes a full-size matching spare.

Hmm maybe I will just stick with a 5th gen a little later and just mod the hell out of it. Ive always wanted a 1st gen junker to fix up. NVMY68ss, your car sounds pretty sweet, Id love to see some pictures of it some time

If you are looking for a high quality first gen Camaro let me know - in your price range I have a stunning car that I could sell. It is running a 2008 Z06 LS7 dry sump engine, T56 6-Speed tranny and was rotisserie restored. With around 625hp this will give you the performance of a modded 5th gen, ride quality of a late model car and the killer looks of a first gen Camaro - the best of all worlds

Here are a few pics of the car:
