I can tell you that we have shipped out a ton of converters to California, which has the strictest SMOG laws, and we have not gotten a call from a customer who hasn't passed emissions.

I wish the dyno charts showed the air/fuel reading. I'd like to see how these affected the air/fuel mixture, even though i know the computer can compensate some for the increased flow. If the computer is able to compensate enough for the increased flow, and the cats are doing their job, there is no reason a CEL light should come on.

Is there any difference between these and any other High Flow Cats? Dont they all bolt up to the stock manifold and put out approx the same HP numbers or do these put out more?

i'm excited about the new hi flow cats. great results guys and with a tune, I'm anxious to see the power gains and can't wait to hear the sound. Keeping my fingers crossed on the remainder of the testing process. I'm planning on a tune once the cats are on. I'm definitely interested in buying once the all-clear is sounded!

These cats are made at a higher quality than most others, starting with the thickness of the flanges for better sealing, stainless steel make, special core winding process to ensure they never break apart, etc.

We have a Camaro scheduled to come in next week and be fitted with high flow cats that we are developing for the Camaro. The converter assembly will be full stainless steel, mandrel bent, and of the highest quality. They will also be rated for more horsepower and will not be released until the CEL is not a threat. The inner core will be 200 cell and ultra free-flowing. We make in-house 02 extenders that we are confident will work in keeping the CEL OFF, while providing an even more powerful and raw sound along with a substantial boost in HP and TQ. We are very excited...please post if this is something that might interest you. We look forward to releasing another quality SOLO product to the Camaro community!!

Steve, Jeff and the SOLO Crew
Can I get that SOLO product. I want the quality of it. I am looking forward for that.

They sell the SOLO non catted for $299.00 and the JBA are $245.00 so I would expect the catted would be more expensive than JBA's.

Which SOLO non-catted do you mean? We presently don't offer any non-catted pipes for the Camaro.

Can't wait to see pricing on these. I've been wanting some headers but I planned on having to wait a little while since I've exhausted most of my mod money for a while. Anyway, this would be GREAT cost effective alternative, especially with a tune! SUBSCRIBED! Keep up the good work Solo!!!

+1 Id love to be able to get another 10 to 20 HP without having to void my warranty.

UPDATE:

We need five people to be the first to purchase these cats as a second test group. So far, we have had no CEL on the first two cars. We will offer the first 5 people a reduced price of $450 shipped for the pair of high flow converters.

If you are interested, please call me at 516-655-9002 anytime, until 12 midnight 7 days a week.

Nobody should have had to smog a 2010 Camaro yet. It's not due for 5 years.
